I actually feel like MDL ratings for Kdramas skew higher than on other sites and need to be taken with a strong grain of salt, and for Cdrama on par with what I might see on another site like Duboku... Not much grade inflation there lol.

Someone had a comment earlier showing what they each wished on the lantern- they each wished for the other to fulfill their dreams (for QY to be safe and happy and for LY to achieve his own wish). It was beautiful.

After watching Ep28 >> Damn! ratings gonna drop again hmm
I’m hanging on that the last six ep arc will bring it full circle - closing LY arc and desire to finally bring down corruption in the Ministry of War (from first few episodes, his long goal) so he can travel with QY happily… but I would still have liked six ep showing them together instead :(

How far did you get? I thought I’d loathe both leads at first and it wasn’t until about 1/3 through drama they won me over. I also loved Minglan, but this is fluffier stuff -way more romance heavy, more in the veins of Imperial Coroner or Maiden Holmes than some of the others you said you liked. I am loving it but it is so character driven that if you aren’t into the ML and FL it won’t be for you
