i am not often terrified by characters, i usually just feel disgust or a little displeasure or anger instead of fear if they’re nuts or do something messed up, but pei yan somehow manages to make me both grossed out AND absolutely petrified. his anger, obsession and behavior towards jiang ci is honestly so intense and vile it becomes terrifying. the facial expressions??? i get chills and goosebumps. it’ll be tough i think for his character to be redeemed in my eyes. it’s nuts that i’m less scared by the one who actually tried to yeet the fl out of existence multiple times than him. not expecting it bc im sure the writers are gonna keep it up for ✨angst✨but i hope his character gets a grip and mellows out soon and makes a turn around. props to the actor for bringing this character to life and actually making you feel something. just to be clear in case it isn’t, i have absolutely no hate towards jeremy, just the character. i would feel the same no matter who played him.

AND NOW JUST GRABBING HER AND NOT LETTING HER GO DESPITE HER BEGGING HIM TO STOP AND THEN FRAMING HER FOR STABBING HIM??? there better be a good reason for this, otherwise throw the whole man away😤😤😤

and i know the fl says she doesn’t trust either of the leads but to me at least it definitely seems like she’s too comfortable or trusting of pei yan. hope she sees more of his true colors and that he’s dangerous just like or maybe as much as wei zhao and he isn’t doing her any favors. he’s morally grey and has red flags too. hope she uses more caution against him bc i do not trust him.

maybe unpopular or controversial opinion but i can’t stand pei yan. i’m just starting episode 11 and my gosh i’m so irritated by the start of this. “you’ve rescued me time and time again.” you mean the times pei yan purposely put her in danger and used her as bait for his own goals? yes, he absolutely owes it to her to save her bc he shouldn’t have gotten her more involved than she already is even more for his own gain. it’s the bare minimum. she’s a chess piece to him (even if he’s catching feelings) and is using her. i truly believe if it came down to it, he would never even try to save her those times or put in much effort if it she wasn’t as useful to him. and then her apologizing to him for not feeling comfortable and wanting to speak to him after what he did to that old couple just to try and expose wei zhao??? girlie did nothing wrong so why is she apology to him???? i’m so sick of pei yan fr. i don’t excuse his or wei zhao’s actions, they’re both messed up for using and manipulating jiang ci but pei yan annoys me more bc his self righteousness and acting like he does no wrong and expecting jiang ci to act like he’s her savior despite how he’s treated her. and always fishing for compliments from her. and confining her to his house and pressuring her to stay by his side even when it becomes too dangerous for her to stay. i grow to hate him more each episode and sometimes just wanna fast forward through his scenes so i don’t have to see him but i know i’ll miss out on important plot points if i do 😭i seriously love the doctor most and how he stands up for the fl and calls out pei yan for his actions. i wish he was the ml or at least the 2ml rn. i hope he doesn’t turn out to be a villain in disguise and stays pure and kindhearted. 🥺atm he’s baby i want him to be protected at all costs.

i seriously grow to hate him even more each episode. his character is really irritating me.

the only thing better than waking up to a new trailer will be the day i wake up to see the first episode has finally released (whenever that may be) 🥹🥹🥹

like idk why do people spend so much of their time being hateful instead of focusing on things they like and bring them joy? if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all. it’d make sense if they were doing something morally wrong, then they’d deserve to be called out and held accountable but to hate on them for their looks or whatever strange reason is just uncalled for. just my two cents anyway.

sometimes (ok a lot of times…😅 i’m already obsessed with this show shjsjsjsjs) i’ll watch clips and behind the scenes videos of liu yuning and zhao lusi and i wonder how and why they both get so much hate for literally just existing.. they’re both so precious and adorable, talented and seem like such sweethearts and good people. 🥹 i’ll never understand it. i hate seeing them get hated on, they don’t deserve it. it’s always the most stupid and strangest of reasons too. 🙄
