Ok I'm currently at chapter 11 and finally they are showing that at least he pan knows how to fight. she has spiritual energy and she is strong. but the novel is mostly focusing on her eating and being cute and spoiled rather than showing this side of her. and also now we know that rong chenzi is strong and excels in both martial arts and spiritual energy. i hope these directors and screenwriters bring the best out of our leads. 🩷🩷

well even in the novel she's like this. her character is supposed to be childish and like a spoiled brat as she's been sheltered her whole life and lived in a peaceful environment. her character is as per the director's instructions and according to the novel. as you'll notice in the second half she uses a much more mature and low pitched voice because she's grown up now. Esther yu is a professional voice actor and has voiced many characters even in abroad films. its not her fault that she acts like that. she acts according to the character and director.
