Total gay-bait, homo-hating, censored Chinese romance bullshit. The people who eat this up have serious internalized…
Generally, I agree with you. It's obvious that high school pupils have their sexual desires and even first experiences. That's why this series in unrealistic in hiding the main characters ' sexuality. Nevertheless, I like this series only because of the main actors efforts and talents. Of course, the original "Addicted" was much more explicit in presenting gay desires. But I'm afraid, we cannot expect anything like that in today's China.
it's a beautiful show. As a gay person, I cannot comprehend its rating. Of course, I understand that there are girls who are looking for fluffy series with unreal characters. But this time you get real characters. Please, accept it.
No one is asking for silly, fluffy series as long as the series is good. Please don't generalize everything.I respect…
I agree. Every generalisation is a mistake. I just want to say that this is not another silly and fluffy series. The characters are very realistic. Myself being a gay person, I hate these series where everything is light and easy. In real life, it's very hard to be a gay person in a conservative, traditional society. I have the impression that "silly an fluffy"' BLs hide all the hardships of being gay.
What's wrong with effeminate men?Real characters with real personalies and real problems cannot also be effeminate? What…
Luckily, there is an evolution in BL world. From the first series ("I'm not gay, I just like this man" - which was, in reality, homophobic), through "Gender doesn't matter" - which was just silly, to an open acceptance of gay and queer people. There's still hope for BL industry 😉
What's wrong with effeminate men?Real characters with real personalies and real problems cannot also be effeminate? What…
Nothing wrong, of course. But when all the characters of a BL series are effeminate men, there is a problem of credibility. We are all different and it's good. However, when some part of BL industry presents only one type of young men, I can't stand it. For me, as a gay person, a BL series should be more realistic (well, I understand that most BL series are rather fairy tales than reality and even my beloved "Triage" and "He's coming to me" have unreal plot). Here, I just want to underline the realistic side of this series with strong manly characters. It's refreshing and courageous.
Finally, a BL (?) without effeminate and stupid characters, with real plot and real problems. Men are portrayed as men. Something fresh and very genuine. If you want to see real characters with real personalities, it's for you.
But if you want to see the worst sex scene ever, you can try the last episode 🤮
Of course, we can have different opinions. I can imagine that this series was warm, fluffy, and perhaps even somehow sweet. But, excuse me, it was by no means sexy. Sex scenes were so awkward and cringy... As a gay person, I was really embarrassed :)
It's a series with effeminate (and therefore completely unrealistic) male characters. Unfortunately, it's a large part of Thai BLs. It gives the impression as if male characters were in reality girls disguised as men). This kind of BL series has one explanation: as far as I know the majority of the BL fans are heterosexual girls.
