This was super cute! Short, sweet, to the point. I enjoyed it. Also the actor that plays Alex is super attractive and he’s naked for like half of the series so that’s a plus.
Okay! We’re getting somewhere! That episode was almost interesting! Hope they keep it up!
Also someone help me out. It sort of feels like they work in a restaurant? Or like, they make food, something along those lines. I’m not sure it’s just the vibe I’m picking up.
1. They had me crying in the first minute of the show. Fiat and his dad both needed that hug desperately. And then at a break neck speed the story went into horny.
2. Fiat and his friends are so WEIRD. Why are they so concerned about Fiat's sex life??
3. The director said oh you want more LeonPob content? Hold onto your mf hats. But for real, to me that was so realistic of exploring a sexual relationship with a new partner. I really related to it and it reminded me of learning more about myself in college. Although one thing I thought was strange was when the girl approached Leon and he said something like " so now do you want to me more casual with me?" like they were gonna start the relationship back up? Idk maybe that was just a bad translation.
4. Not the Justin Bieber Purpose Tour shirt.
5. At first I was like "ugh not another 'I saw my partner talking to someone else and obviously he must be cheating' plot" but then it took a turn into something I didn't expect.
6. What was Aek going to do before his brother called him? It looked like he was getting up to go outside to where Fiat was but I don't understand why that would happen or how it would affect the story.
7. WTF am I supposed to expect for episode 11?? It felt like I was watching a preview for an entirely different show!
All things considered, Dong didn’t really do anything that was that bad. Overall this show was pretty messy and confusing but I still enjoyed it. I like when BLs move away from the same usual tropes. I would watch a second season but I don’t know where they go from here
At this point I feel like this show is just testing my patience. It’s almost feels like a social experiment. Like the creators said “let’s continue to put out episodes where nothing happens and see how long it takes for people to stop watching it.” Personally I’m still watching because the cinematography is good and I’m hoping for a good payoff in the end
Amaru's breakdown in ep 8 was heartbreaking to watch, he had obviously been holding in a lot of feelings. Sort of seemed like they low-key made fun of him for it afterwards, or like said he was using it to get a better performance score. Thought that was weird.
My main takeaways after finishing this most recent episode:
1. Overall just far too long, could've cut down on some of Fiat's crying scenes.
2. I know the side characters are supposed to be comic relief and they were probably just trying to lighten the mood but to me it felt so odd for the one kid to be like "ugh wish fiat was here so I could tease him but he's going through a traumatic event partially caused by me or whatever" and the rest of the friends were like "yeah why didn't you lock the door you lil rascal lol"
3. Piggybacking off that though I will say I want a spinoff focused on the twins.
4. Part 4 was so tough to get through. Pob's actor offered what I thought was the realest portrayal of grief in the series so far. Also having been through the exact same thing a couple times it was far too relatable and it me in a very sensitive spot.
5. Finally I think this series focuses way too hard on Fiat's past promiscuity and his friends weird obsession with it. When Fiat's friend scared him in his house and he said "you look like nam was recording one of your sexcapades" or whatever I was like girl what, say something normal like "you look like you saw a ghost"
