If I'm not mistaken, Geum Gang Go ties the owner and the one who wears the bracelet together. If the one wearing the bracelet refuses to obey the owner, goes back on his or her word, or the owner is in danger, then they will experience immense pain as if his or her heart is being shred to pieces. In Oh Gong and Sun Mi's case, Oh Gong cannot eat Sun Mi because the bracelet prevents him from harming or disobeying his owner. I hope that made sense!
