I agree with all you said but thus drama being worse is too much since we don't know and drama is not out yet, still looks like a fresh romcom and character for him. Im against early judging until the drama is out.

What you guys need to understand is just:
1. JCW is not an action actor, he was in cute roles before his fame in hallyu and he won awards for that.
2. KYJ is not a kid anymore! Shes 21 and her is legal.
3. THIS IS ONLY A DRAMA, if you find it disgusting, skip it.

What actually pisses me off is those casual JCW fans who claim they like his acting but just because he's not in something serious or action, they believe that his drama choices suck just because his previous drama flopped. "He's always the same?" Nope, he's JCW who tried too hard to get out of typecasting, "he's always serious at first then he goes soft?" Isn't it pretty much all of male leads in kdramas especially in romcom? Lol. I wonder if you guys watched the teaser, he's creating a new imagine after all those serious roles which is not new anymore. I respect him for that. I know that you always want him to be in something serious but that's not gonna happen for now, he's busy trying different roles! If you can't see a fluffy drama with a cute character as something 'different', it doesn't mean that he's not good anymore or he's not trying (just because you don't see him shouting or crying or kicking somone's ass) lol

Convenience Store Saet Byul will be in full production after completion of its casting period. It will be aired on MULTIPLE CHANNELS including the Lifetime channel in Korea this Fall.
A+E networks has a deal with JTBC, so I guess they air it for Korean viewers through this channel.

I totally understand that. I know that feeling. I just hope everything goes well with this. The production is no joke, I just hope script is good too.

This character is not a boss like what you saw in other kdramas, he's a shy guy who owns a small store. So they basically look like workers at a store. Sorry but there are too many negative and early judgments from both fans and haters. I don't care about haters but when fans don't even try to give him a chance makes me sad. I hope it turns out well so everyone can change their minds.

Also, it's just your opinion. he really acts amazing as a cute guy, like his role in empress ki which had several cute moves. And he slayed that role.

Have you really read his interviews? He sounded disappointed but he said he wants to try different stuff and show variety. This role is something he hasn't done before and it's gonna be on a us-based channel so it's good for his global recognition. Plus, it's not the end of this career! Give him a chance! He's a cute person in real life, he did cool stuff for a while and now he needs ppl to let him be different! Unlucky enough that his latest drama flopped so no one's gonna trust him anymore. FYI he's doing an action movie this year so I think you can check that one out.
