Jimmy and the actor who played the dad gave a hell of performance this episode
Well done. Very well done👏👏👏👏
The last scene (the interview one) was the best JimmySea acting to date. It looks like it was also improvised so kudos to them
I know the BL community love rating BL actors skills based on these big shouting and crying scene, but I think the way you can really jauge the growth or the skill of an actor is based on the casual scenes (where nothing truly happens) and how well they can pull them off.
I will be keeping my 10 as I had a lot of fun every week.
But, I have a complaint about the series, which almost made me gave it an 8 or 7
I am not a fan of jimmy so i never tried his drama even though i do like sea. I do wanna try this drama. Is it…
If you never watched any drama with this couple than I think this one is a good start. Maybe after, if you enjoy this one you can also try to watch Last Twilight ?
In my opinion this one is a solid series and you will have fun. I think their acting have improved even more in this one than in Last Twilight
As someone who is enjoying the series overall and think the actors are doing a good job with what they have been given, I can see why someone else may not feel connected as much to the series or the characters.
From what I have seen, the vast majority have been enjoying the show very much. This week I have seen nothing but praise for Jimmy and First's performance in the last bit. This is a good thing right?
My opinion is this : as someone who is absolutely obsessed with acting ;
I think Jimmy (who is, in this , pigeonholed as the more mature/tame figure ) is doing a very good job. In all the previous episodes his character was served as a catharsis for In's growth and the character has done what he is supposed to do, UNTIL the last episode where he got to shine too. All his casual scenes were well acted.
This last episode, has proven that he can be excellent in heavy scenes( First's confrontation scene, his breakdown, him rushing to his friend and performing CPR on him; all of them were portrayed very well). We got a glimpse of it in the last scene of episode 2 but episode 9 solidified it.
I think Sea(who in this, have a heavy /meatier role) is also doing great. You can see his scenes becoming lighter, more casual in the last episode, leaving place for Jimmy's character to take his own burden.
I know sometimes it can hurt seeing someone trash something you like but don't take it to heart. Not everyone will enjoy what you enjoy. Not everyone will have the same opinion as you do, and that's ok.
This comment section is one of the most positive comment sections I have seen about a BL series here . The vast majority of the users here have nothing bad to say about Jimmy or Sea's performance and it doesn't look like most them are even part of their fandom...so relax.
I wonder who is Jimmy and Sea's acting coach (if they have any), their acting has gotten even better here than in Last Twilight. That's why I think they still haven't reached their potential yet. Saw an interview from their producer yesterday, and apparently Jimmy was studying very hard at that time and barely slept, so for him to preform at that level.... Even the way he broke down on Sea's arms today was incredible. Very very very well acted. They both seem to have worked really hard on their craft, so I command them for it.
I must say, I know people badmouth gmmtv a lot(even myself), but it seems like many of their actors are getting better and better. Take Book for example, his scene last week with Jimmy was incredible. His acting felt very natural...he made it look so easy, but these type of scenes are more often than not, the trickiest to pull. You need to understand the character very well, have a great set of skill and find a good partner that can match your energy, otherwise the scene will fall flat; but they both nailed it
For the people complaining about this series having a high rating ; People enjoy what they enjoy. There's no competition between either of the series currently airing right now; there's something for everybody. As for today's episode, I think this one was heavily carried by the cast performance, but things seem to be accelerating a lot next week, so I will be looking forward to episode 9. I can't wait to see what Jimmy and First will deliver; as these two are great actors. Gmmtv giving this one 10 episodes was the right choice, 12 would have been overkill. It's truly the perfect length.
Sea’s acting has only improved since his debut—I’m proud to see him delivering work of this caliber. At…
As someone who watched this CP very closely because of their performance during Last Twilight, and only gave Vice Versa a high rating because of their chemistry, not because I enjoyed their acting( as I watched that one after Last Twilight and they were obviously rookies). I think in this series Sea is doing what he is supposed to do and Jimmy is doing exactly what he is supposed to do. The characters are extremely different, so the performances are different too, but I still rank them from either very solid to good.
Sometimes during the series, I'm more drawn to one performance over the other, based on the circumstances; but I think they are both very good but still haven't reached their full potential yet :)
I think they can aim for even higher, but their progress from Vice Versa to this, have been tremendous.
Kudos to the bed scene between Book and Jimmy ; It was (in my opinion) , one of the strongest performance during the whole series. It felt very natural. Just two people talking without overdoing it, without any artifice. [Acting-non acting] is and will always be the best kind of acting. They both did really great. Book seems to have become a stronger actor, I'm curious to see what his performance in Melody Of Secrets is going to be like.
When I see a GMMTV series with a high rating like this, I know they are blind fans who accept anything from your…
Jimmy and Sea doesn't seem like a pairing who has an obsessed fandom that can push the ratings here. People are just enjoying the series. It just makes for a good sunday watch in my opinion.
Jimmy needs to work on his six pack. Disapointing shirtless scene.
His build was quite different in Last Twilight as far I can remember. I read somewhere that he purposely lost a bunch of weight for this role. He wanted Thap body to be as realistic as possible for a Critical Care doctor. Other than that : body shaming is never ok.
Dear ColorfulSeas658.7 (and anyone passing by),Before you take this person’s episode-by-episode rants as gospel,…
Hi ! Funny enough I just wrote a comment above reflecting yours. I also wrote the comment about the first kiss without reading theirs, because I just rewatched it again and it was so good and well thought that I had to come and make a comment about it.
So, I absolutely agree with your comment, but I believe people here(who are enjoying the series and love Inthu as a character) don't need to take their comments to heart. I was curious and took a look at this person's profile, and you can see they gave the series a 1/10(so they are truly not enjoying it for whatever reason).
I also had to take second look when the other user, called Jimmy a shit kisser, since I put him among the best kissers(after watching his performance in Last Twilight and funny enough, this first kiss solidified that ).
I do think the kiss this episode was phenomenal, and I'm not saying that lightly because as I said above after years and years watching BL, I always felt like some(or half) of these kisses are just fanservice that don't reflect the characters nor their motivation ; but I didn't feel that way about these two characters. It was an incredible kiss.
I talked about the acting, but I almost forgot to talk about the highlight of episode 5, which is the kiss.
That kiss was superb, and exactly how I thought it would be ; In is someone who has a lot of trauma related to the death of his parents, his ability of seeing the future, and the uncertainty of being with a potential partner. Everything was conveyed into that very first kiss. It conveyed different meanings, different feelings(fears, insecurities, desires) and of course fear of the unknown.
Many times I feel like BL actors are made to kiss a certain way to attract a certain audience , when sometimes, the position the character is currently in, or their mindset don't require this type of kiss ; I often can't get into the scene because sometimes it is out of character and feel a lot like fanservice; but that one? I absolutely loved it. It was a really great, believable, and well thought kisss. It is probably one of my favorite first kiss.
Whoever directed that scene deserve all the praise. They understood the characters and how they would react in a situation like this. Bravo 👏
Some incredible acting from Jimmy and Sea this episode. Going from Vice Versa, to Last Twilight, to this, is an incredible journey. Their acting have evolved so much over the years. After this episode, they are easily in the top 10 best actors at gmmtv for me. Still don't know where I would place them, but from that scene in EP 2 alone, they deserve that place. But, I think the last scene of today's episode demonstrated their strength better than any scene could have. I will keep my score, I will wait to see how the rest of the episodes are going to play out to adjust my rating.
I will never understand the way this place count the general score. 8.5. is actually incorrect. The average score for this series is 8.8, so where does the 8.5 come from?????!!! We could argue that the individual episodes are lowering the score, but it isn't right either since 9.7 is the medium The correct one should be : 8.6 min
This is some really good writing this episode ; easily the best one yet. Jimmy's drunk acting was absolutely great; everything felt natural and not forced at all, with a pinch of humor of course. This series, in my opinion, with only 4 episodes in, is already better than Last Twilight, in all aspects (writing, plot progression, acting, chemistry etc...) Jimmy and Sea are crushing this one.
Oh yeah...I agree...Jimmy is an incredible actor too. The torn paper scene was great, his facial expression during that scene was absolutely spot on. Thap and In are two different characters so they react to triggers differently. I don't know who is coaching Jimmy for Thap's character because frankly that scene was truly something. He deserves his flowers too. I can say that Jimmy and Sea are both some of the best actors gmmtv currently has.
Well done. Very well done👏👏👏👏

Something that annoyed me a lot from EP 3 to 7.
A choice I can't understand.
Will talk about it later.
EP 9 saved the series for me.
The finale was good and satisfactory
So, yeah still 10 it is👍
In my opinion this one is a solid series and you will have fun. I think their acting have improved even more in this one than in Last Twilight
Their casual scenes are much better here.
So yeah check it out.

So did gmmtv hired acting coaches or what?
Interesting.................
