after episode 4 or 5 I was forcing myself to watch it.

everything in the Korean version seems so rushed and out of a sudden while in Chinese version events were more natural.

I am on episode 4 now. Chinese version is one tier better. For anyone who didn't watch neither of them - watch chinese version. Though, I will continue watching it as it is not bad, and I cannot find anything better to watch atm.

I loved the original chinese version.
I watched only the first episode of this one and it is early to make a conclusion, but I can say for sure that the moment in chinese version when the father comes to pick up a boy from the village was so much more emotional than the equivalent event in the korean version.

I am on episode 4 and want to drop it: ML is meh, propaganda when they portrait westerners as bad is meh, the plot so far is meh. I don't know if I should force myself contine watching hoping that it will improver or just drop it now

so far boring. don't see what makes people so excited. I like romance/melodrama and this one is meh in this regards.

mediocre at best: spy part was expectedly bad, but romance part was also meh, which is much worse. after 9th episode I skipped to the end - no sense to waste more time on it

FL looks too old to wear such clothes. it looks wierd

I like Xu Ruo Xan a lot after "The Forbidden Flower", but this show isn't that good. somewhere after 15th episode I skipped to the last two episodes

I also think it deserves a much higher rating

I very liked this drama. actually binged it for the second time. highly recommended

this show has very attractive actresses. Xu Ruo Han has a perfect appearance. love her since The Forbidden Flower - imo on of the best romantic shows of 2024

I am also just stating "facts". But where you see "fun", I see cringe, annoyance, stupidness and 13yo behavior from someone who is supposed to be an adult
