It was mostly cute, but half of the plots set up in the first episode are just dropped and never resolved? Still I had a fun time so it's a 6/10 for me.
The last two episodes could have been better but I did enjoy most of the drama. Overall it feels like something between AIB and Black Mirror (especially that one episode, iykyk). 8/10.
It was good but the first season was so amazing, it's hard not to compare when you know what it could have been.…
I feel like a few changes here and there could have made this season better.
I don't mind having a main villain to defeat but I think they could have had that storyline while also having a "evil spirit of the week", that would have helped with the repetitiveness. Maybe keep the Chinese counters around for a bit longer too.
They could have done more with So Moon and the other counters having to become stronger. Jeok Bong especially should have had a character development and be a better counter in the end? Keeping him weak just for laughs was boring after a while, he can have his personality and still be strong like the others eventually.
What about So Moon's friends? We see them a little at first then they're just brought back to disappear again... that was a bit weird. Despite having a few storylines with regular people around them (Ha Na's first love, Mo Tak's colleague, the first person Ms Chu saved), the counters did feel a bit disconnected from the world this season.
Anyway, that's just a list of things that bothered me and that could have improved the season in my opinion.

This was really cute overall. I'd say I enjoyed this one more than most Korean BLs I watched recently but it's also pretty simple and a straightforward story. I also didn't expect to find Yechan so adorable tbh, kudos to the actor. 8/10.
My boy Jae Hyun went from stalking to kidnapping, I know that's right. More seriously, I usually don't comment while a drama is airing but this is just a bit baffling to me that the writers expect me to root for anyone here. We need the ML away from both of them asap, but he can keep the best friend who's the only one actually treating him like a human being and not an object to own.
I tried but I really don't like the love interest. Lack of chemistry aside, the only thing he does is stalking the ML, making him uncomfortable and apologizing for things he keeps doing anyway...
It was good, really depressing from start to finish though. The main downside for me was the policewoman, she…
For example, someone is kidnapped and about to be murdered and what does she do? Leave to check the handwriting on the note lmao. Priorities... We honestly could have found all that out while Jong Suk was recovering his memories instead, it would have made more sense.
It was good, really depressing from start to finish though. The main downside for me was the policewoman, she annoyed me so much after a while. She's only here to make the viewers find out what happened in the past, but none of her actions made sense. In retrospect, she did nothing??
hi, I'm just curious. Can you tell me when they foreshadowed the ending in the first part?
The spheres being so easy to defeat in the end adds to the commentary in a way, they really could have stayed in the shelters since the military was going to figure out something quickly in the end...
I don't remember either, joining wasn't mandatory after all, maybe it was just highschool students because it was easier to make them to join with all the points stuff. No one knew what the spheres really were either, or else most parents would have said no for sure. Realistically, any adult able to join would have been called though.
Part 2's focus was more on the human side of the war, yeah... They got used to the spheres after a month, so they didn't feel like a threat anymore compared to what other human beings did... That reminded me of shows like The Walking Dead.

I think it's what you're supposed to be feeling tbh, because that war was for nothing. Kids were tricked into fighting and kept being betrayed by the adults until they also took away the only reason why they were fighting in the first place. I will say though that the ending was a bit clumsy and rushed after the shooting. I heard that we follow the survivors and see them deal with what happened in the webtoon, I wonder why they didn't do the same thing in the drama. Anyway, it wasn't perfect but it does make you think.
The fact that they killed off Yeongho in Episode 1, who is part of the main ensemble cast, shows that they are…
Right, especially since it felt like they were setting him up to be important going forward, I was really surprised when he was the first to die. It really tells you that no one is safe. Meanwhile they also set up situations that make you think that a character is going to die because they most likely would in any other horror story (like the girl going to eat ramen in secret). That part 1 finale was really sad too, for sure.

The scene that made me think he was going to snap was in episode 6 when they're putting the explosives, they focus on him being visibly mad after his altercation with Il Ha. Coupled with his actions before (smiling when Yeong Hoon was said to be injured, not joining the other kids when they went back to rescue the others left behind, only talking about the exam no matter the situation...) showing that he didn't care about anyone in the class, I figured he would just snap on everyone and not just Il Ha.
It's honestly the ending I expected, or better say the fate I expected for the class, because it was foreshadowed…
I haven't read the webtoon but I heard that they spent more time with the remaining kids who have to deal with the aftermath of what happened and the spheres, and I think it should have been in the drama too. I would have liked a last episode focused on that instead.
