This drama is a gem. It has the perfect pace, not too fast to the point of confusion and not too slow to the point of getting bored and irritated. The script is well written. From how bits and bits of his memory are unveiled and fully explained, leaving room for enough speculation by the viewer, to how the bits of information build a bigger picture. I love it. And the plot twists (uuuurrrghhh). They are not out of this world like what we witnessed in penthouse, they were perfect. Leaving you a little bit pissed of cause why didn't you see that coming and having you eager for the next episode. The actors do a wonderful job especially Han Ji Hyuk and Seo Soo Yeon(she really embodied this character).
This was entertaining, especially in the first couple episodes. I won't say this fell below expectations, but…
The writing was not the best. I especially didn't know why the police was necessary or his connection to the frontman. It seemed more like a TMI than a part of the storyline.
I just finished the drama and I have a lot to say.
THE GOOD 1. I loved the production especially the colored theme which is in contrast to most psychological shows like Alice in Borderland which mostly use dark colors and all. 2. The cast really did a good job, especially the lead, he really did a great job portraying the 'foolish guy that is clueless, overly empathetic and can't make wise decisions' very well. 3. The storyline is superb. With debt being a big issue in many countries. It brings out the aspect of people with debt not being viewed as worthy of living. It also brings out the fact that most people would rather comply than resist, cause what change will it make to resist.
THE NOT SO GOOD 1. I did not understand why the police officer was necessary. In my opinion, I thought the story path of the players fighting the system which had been teased by Sae Byeok would have been better. The story then had to spilt to "the game" and "the police" we barely even got to see him. The police did not achieve anything besides finding his brother. 2. The V.I.Ps dialogue watered down the whole of episode 7. It was sooo hard for me to watch episode 7. Their acting wasn't the best and all they did was curse. 3. The drama left me with so many questions:1. What was the organ harvesting all about? 2. Who are the people in red? 3. Is he going back? 4. Who is this frontman and how did he get there since his brother is looking for him?
Just finished it and I finally understand what people mean when they say they were at the edge of their seat. Clenched my jaw so much it hurts. Highly recommend.
Perfect definition of quality over quantity. The writer did not sugarcoat it into something that would be easily taken in by the public, instead made sure you felt all the emotions the characters felt. Raw, Beautiful and Honest. Highly recommend.
Watched it and i think it was okay not mind blowing, just okay. The story is great but the execution not so much. If you have watched Memento directed by Christopher Nolan, you can tell that the writer got some inspiration from it. All in all I think the actors did a great job especially the male lead.
The writer probably wanted us to experience a little bit of what was going through Ga On's head. Yes, we have heard Yo Han's side of the story but what if? Yo Han said he'd do anything to get Ga On on his side so what if ? But it can't be him right? I mean they have spent so many days living in the same house. I had this conflict in my head so much that I didn't think about other possibilities. All this trickles down to trust. But my question is why doesn't Ga On still not trust Yo Han?
I like the way things have turned out. A lot of my predictions did not come true, and this is what I like when…
Well stated. I strongly agree that the role of the president was well written. In my opinion, he had the best character development in the show. His 'not-like-your-average-president' character made him stand out.
Anyway, loved every single bit of this drama. The way I anticipated for the consecutive episodes every week, made life a lot worth living. I am happy.
