depends on the country it to my knowledge most International shows dont trend(USA) but so far everywhere but Douban (chinese review site thing) that i have looked at has it extremely popular and in most Asian Countries and in One African country it reached top ten on netflix

you are correct the spectrum is wide and varied, i will agree that they seemed to overgeneralized her character but for the most part it checks out, the parts that really stick out is the fixation on a topic or topics her case is whales
