i just finished it and same. it didn't seem to work with the present day couple as much and i low key wished it…
i don't know really since i didn't like the 90s couple having so much history to lead up to a sad ending and for the 2010s couple to pick up where they left off. i found that a little strange in my opinion so i guess the novel's ending was better in a way
am I the only one who didnt like this movie?????? i guess i have specific preferences and opinions............…

I feel soo bad that I can't be asked to be motivated enough to watch this. I think i stopped around ep 10 ish and it was so good at first but it seems to be dragging a little now . I hate it when dramas have a great beginning but the rest is mainly waffle and then they may have a semi decent ending
Is korean version better or Chinese version of this drama?
i dont remember the chinese version but i dont think it was as bad as the reviews say. remember it's supposed to be light hearted. I would recommend the movie if you don't have much time or want something shorter to watch. However i've just started the korean drama and i'm obsessed i've binged it so far i'm on episode 6 and it's okay. The kdrama is more slow paced (in terms of romance) ofc but i personally like that because it allows the story to progress more and it prevents waffling toward the latter half of the drama
im on ep 43 and it isn't that bad but i dont think i would watch it if i didnt binge it so if you want something lengthy but very dramatic to watch over a weekend i'd definitely recommend. There is a lot of drama but it's interesting? it was very annoying at first but there's the need to know about her revenge and how everything would pan out it's probably not a must watch or anything so unless you really want to don't force yourself through it :)
so i watched like 7 episodes of this back in 2019? i think and i didn't like it much but i really want to give it another go but can someone tell me like the general plot line (not spoilers though just a light outline) and also when it picks up the most because i remember it being very boring where i was at
Just started watching this and the plot literally starts with 3 episodes of stalking which makes no sense. xD…
the ending is basically yuan losing his toes and it technically ends there for the human acting and then theres like a 2 minute animation which shows the man who xiayao risked his life for and the reason why yuanzong lost his toes is the same person who traumatised xiayao 9 years ago because he was naked on a video call and then xiayao gets pissed So yes the ending was quite shit comparing to the rest of the drama, there was no wrap up or proper ending it was just yuan lost his toes and the creep who xiayao hates was saved by xiayao and yuanzong
