got to know jpop/kpop much sooner than the kdrama / jdrama cuz of anime + watching some random channel at my friends house where they showed No.1 BoA in 2002 lol <.< couldnt understand anything but was hooked

mhm.. I had a japanese girl that i got to know in 4th grade and she had an older brother who bought manga and we would occasionally read some of it when we were bored. It didnt take long before I got hooked and started buying my own :P then in 6th grade I started watching Anime. Then in the beginning of my freshman year I made friends with a korean girl who had the hots for Cheng Joe from ISWAK and she convinced me to watch it since I already read the manga, at the same time i found out about hana yori dango from the same person so those two were my first ones and got me hooked <.<

there's a summer/slice of life with tiny bit of romance drama that i would recommend you to see :D Osozaki no Himawari !!! its a very nice japanese drama which i recently finished watching and i really loved it :P

yeah, i've got a few films i could recommend : Babo : Miracle of a Giving Fool, Tada kimi wo aishiteru, The man from nowhere(action movie but highly recommended), My Rainy Days, Classmates (a little predictable but very good movie)
