I'm perfectly fine with ML's bold and daring character. In fact I like it, it's very alluring. I can understand, why he's so seductive to you and to the FL. However, I'm not into this type of romance with instant obsession and poor communication. It just seems to me an unhealthy relationship, which makes it an exciting drama, yet I like mostly slow and healthy burn type of romance, sometimes bickering is fun too the way it's performed in "Escape". Hence my preference for the "Why I Dress Up for Love".

Thank you for sharing such an extensive list.
"Nevertheless" appeared somewhat darker to me than my usual pick. So I dropped it with a heavy heart, because Ryusei in a bad boy mode just got hotter.
"Teen Bride" was indeed hilarious and full of relationship caricatures - jealous wife scene was simply hysterical.
I haven't watched "Date My Daughter", "Escape" or "Cherry Boy", so I'll give them a try.
Based on the trailer of the "Love is hard for an Otaku" it looks exactly like the eccentric comedy I'm after. It reminds me of the movie "Real Girl", where the ML is a die-hard otaku dating the prettiest girl in his high-school. https://kisskh.at/24759-3d-kanojo-real-girl
I appreciate your efforts in compiling the list. Hopefully, it'll be useful for everyone else.
Some oldies are just too good too miss. It's like golden classics: Nodame Cantabile, Hotaru no Hikari, Gokusen Season 1 or even Hana Yori Dango Season 1.

I'm glad that Ryusei Yokohama is doing so good. Yet, I'm more superficial viewer, than you are, so I prefer light and fun entertainment. Since you seem to be so knowledgeable about jdramas, could you please advise me a comedy with a slapstick over-the-top humor like my all time favorite "Nodame Cantabile", to a lesser degree "Switch Girl" or "Papa to Musume no Nanokan" (2022 version).

My dream came true. I found a video recap for "Shine on me" and happily speed-watched through it. Now I'm curious about "The best thing". Will it provide me with some basic understanding of the TCM apart from the apparently sensual romance?
Also, could you please recommend me a fast-paced sports-centered cdrama (training, competitions, friendship, human drama, character-building, rivalry), like the awesome jdrama "Tumbling" or maybe with a hint of romance like "Buzzer beat"? I'm particularly interested in taijiquan/martial arts, yet without violence and definitely not the bloody hell of wuxia genre. In fact any action sports will do.
Most creatives are neurodivergent and many of them need solo-cultivation period in their life. Do you associate yourself with an educated idler from jdrama "Date"?
absolutely untrue that have been tons of non rom com japanese drama better than any K or C drama. The Journalist,…
My favorite drama from the most recent ones would be "Black Cinderella", it felt raw and genuine to me even if sugar-coated. Besides, it's the only drama that has ever given me the second male lead syndrome. Thank you for sharing your favorites, "Cinderella Closet" has definitely picked my interest, Somehow it went by me unnoticed. And it's true that news on jdramas are scarce here. So mutual sharing of our favorites is particularly precious. Thanks again!

Honestly, I feel like crying. I've watched 2 episodes of "Shine on me", fast forwarding them only to discover that FL and ML haven't met yet and there's already a misunderstanding between them (courtesy of the best friend?). It's truly disappointing because both mains are totally likeable and attractive. I wish to have a condensed version of all 36 episodes, rather than fast forwarding through them. That's what I call draggy, sorry. Or maybe I'm used to Japanese dynamics.
"The Best Thing" seems promising, because at least I'm more interested in TCM than in the corporate investing. So I won't have to skip parts. Thank you for your advice.

Sorry to disappoint you as a subber, yet I'm very cautious about kdramas, so I first read recap, then watch selectively the scenes I'm interested in, for instance romance and action scenes in Healer. It's still exciting like reading a manga and then watching live-action. It's actually the only way I've ever "watched" kdramas, because I don't want to waste my time on a rom-com that will turn at some point into another sob-story or even worse a sci-fi thriller generously sprinkled with corpses.
That's why I initially requested preferably cdrama recommendations. Interestingly, I always watch jdramas thoroughly, if I haven't dropped them after ep. 1, because jdramas stay true to genre, so I'm totally at ease watching them and enjoying their integrity. Yet I understand that kdramas' fans prefer excitement and unpredictability, that the multi-genre dramas deliver. Luckily there's a good drama for everyone.

I've just looked at your impressive list and decided to recommend you Kingyo Club, very touching high-school students' romance amidst bullying. https://kisskh.at/2905-kingyo-club

I truly appreciate your kind suggestions. The trailer for "Shine on me" seems very warm and positive to me. So I'll start with this one. The trailer for "Love ambition" gives off more cold/cool and dramatic vibes, so I'll give it a try later. Thanks for sharing!
3) Online Cinderella (virtual romance transitioning into real life, remake of Chinese drama, more stylish and romantic than original, yet with less CGI) https://kisskh.at/683963-cinderella-is-online
I appreciate the fact that jdramas develop mutual liking in deep and meaningful yet very subtle way. I'm not a fan of CEO all of sudden falls hard for an ordinary girl type of romance. Also I wouldn't consider a drama a romcom, if romance is just a bonus to detective, time-traveling, body-swapping, slice of life, social drama and so on. Soapy and draggy plots aren't my cup of tea either.
I tried really hard to find any Chinese or Korean modern rom-com that fits my criteria. Yet in vain. Would you mind giving me recommendations, please? I'm particularly interested in cdramas. I remember only Mr Insomnia, that was fun in the beginning, but it lost its comic steam way too fast for my liking.
Thank you for subbing this. It's really fresh and exciting show. I particularly liked the augmented reality effect with animals. It's the first time I see it in jdrama. The ML is absolutely fascinating and Aria-san is unusually bold and straightforward for a jdramaland female. I'm looking forward to the rest of the show. Please post links for the next episodes here, as I don't have direct access to bitchute, so I have to extract the link to video storage in order to watch it, as well as other member Kevin Durnan (see our conversation in the comments section below).
The guys who need to build themselves up aren't that bad actually. There's a cute short drama about a loser and cool girl, which tackles the issue of ML's self re-building quite gracefully. I highly recommend it to you. It's subbed by the same Irozuku. Saishuu Ressha de Hajimaru Koi/Love that begins on the last train
