Let us see Suansoon come back in time when he was beside Ongsa after accident meanning they met 10 years without young Ongsa met before old Ongsa. Only we came back begin the loop and it will not until the original path will return hoping old Ongsa and find his beloved Suansoon beside him.

I don't think that Suansoon was not happy in his relation , all he want to save Ongsa life because he love him so much ( the warning about the accident preventing come from old Ongsa to his young version. But in the end I believe they will be reunite. after all Ongsa is in coma not dead.. but may be Suansoon think he is (The butterfly thing if it is like Vietnam the butterfly -soul of Ongsa come to visit his lover whop still alive) dead.
