I don't see a problem with the age gap. He marries his wife young, they had kids. Maybe his wife died(not necessary) and he had an affair( or not if he didn't have wife at that time) with younger woman , and then he had younger kid. Only the Chairman second wife is mentioned. I guess she is older kids stepmother.

It really is mixed feeling. Both have been wrong. He have right to check her, because we see in so many dramas that if you don't check you get scammed. She was suspicious. I watched the ep. 34 without subtitles and FL family lasted only 1 day and they give the uncle permission to do whatever he wants to do with ML aunt. Other family didn't accept him for now , but they will also give up soon. Because ML grandma appeared. They found her in a hospital. So she probably didn't run away with FL grandpa. It is coincidence? So there is nothing to stop couples to be together. I guess. SeRi left home , but I guess she will return soon too.
