I haven't read the book either, but with what they show in the trailer and for what Phoon said in the first episode, that was my conclusion, but I get why some people could be confused

Guys, Phoon blames himself for his sister death, his parents blamed him and treated him like trash, he's lying to Fah because he's afraid he's going to lose him too, he said it in the episode, if he lose Fah too, he won't have anyone, lying wasn't the smartest choice, but think with his perspective, if you were blamed and abused for years for something, you will be afraid too of others reacting tbe same way, especially if it's someone you love

I do believe Van loves Farm, but he needs help before being in a serious relationship, he needs therapy, because he's obviously still mourning his parents' death, and his way of coping is autosavotaging his life. If he doesn't go to get help, he'll lose Farm forever, they can't go back to friends.

I'm so afraid of Jinn discovering Jay knows about his mom dating that man again (I'm sure they'll give that piece of sh*t a redemption arc and I'm already mad about it), Jay just feels like he doesn't have the right to tell Jinn, that this should be something his mother tells him, I'm really scared
