This movie was pretty bad ! The only things that made it bearable to watch were the little fox, the quite well-produced music and Chen Li Nong. Some scenes were so bad that it became laughable but there was no comedy in this movie. If you want to know about the script and the friendship between the leads, the trailer will suffice !
This drama is exceptionally good ! I've always disliked chinese period romance dramas because of the production quality, or the acting but LLTG is as good as Nirvana in Fire regarding these aspects !

Okay I see your point ! I actually like the policeman, the actor made him a believable character and I think that the changes he portrays on screen have something to do with what will be revealed later on :) But the friend doesn't play well and they also don't have any chemistry which doesn't help, same goes for the girlfriend sadly. I totally agree for the thieves, that's why I was talking about the plot: you can't have a brilliant thieve with so many twists and tricks in the first eps and then some group of stupid and straight up bad thieves, although it fits the plot it doesn't make sense in terms of pace and script writing quality...

I agree with both of you, if KW's acting is intentional and is hinting a plot twist, it's going to be brilliant. If it's just his portrayal of ZWJ, I would say it's decent, there are some improvements that can be made though
Lazy writing... I had hope. The first 4 episodes had a humoristic touch to it that made the show a bit original. The rest of this show is made of any classic trope you can think of in a romance. So cliché it can pass for a 2014 drama ! The characters also suffer from lazy writing, especially the male lead, except the lively coworkers. Why are all the female leads so clumsy and the male leads so insipid ? It is not an inherently bad show but it's definitely not a great one either...
Really good entertainment program, with both qualities from western and asian shows. The MCs let the contestants shine and the overall mood wasn't toxic at all like in some "survivals". I would gladly watch another season and I often come back to re-watch a few episodes !
