What is the point of giving this much importance to a Red String...Gumiho and Lee Dam had only started relationship...…
A mini spoiler here, so continue with care.
The mountain spirit is actually rooting for the gumihos... he did the red string to force Gumiho to be desperate for love/life and to be desperate to become a human... it's the final ingredient he is missing to transform...like HaNa said, some days you'll hate being a fox, but he hasn't really reached that point coupled with the desperate desire to become a human until now...
Looks like I'm into second female lead the same way I ripped second male lead yesterday when you start saying…
it's also unnecessary for her... her character is fun being "cool beauty yet ditsy" as a combo... no need to add conceited to it... anyway it was all done to force her to get in trouble so Jae Jin could come and help her and she would then see him in a new light-->which they could've done in a way that didn't make her arrogant...
I love the tv show, but am curious, are they sticking fairly closely to the webtoon? I read the 1st chapter so…
I've only read ch1 of webtoon but up to date with the drama! OK that's great! I love it even more when an adaptation is great and also stays true to the source content :D
I didn't want to watch this drama because I was reading webtoon but at last I decided to give it a try.. Why did…
I love the tv show, but am curious, are they sticking fairly closely to the webtoon? I read the 1st chapter so I know they changed 1 of the 3 friends characters from a guy to the girl, but unsure of the rest (if i remember correctly).
personally thought this was an all around wonderful show and emotional ride. It shared a full human experience, showcasing life& death, second chances and redemption, forgiveness, love... Great actors and the storytelling was lovely--blended just the right amount of rom-com and sad/tragic elements. While many people are not pleased with the age gap, which is understandable, I thought the show portrayed their romance in a very respectful and mild way that didn't come across as creepy, and also there is no age at which you can bridge a mortal with a 900-year-old anyway.
I had the same thought... the tropes and romantic plot are all there and done before, but what makes this refreshing…
Yea I see this as well. I'm thinking it'll go something like, "I lied cause I love you and didn't want you to go so soon"... and then drama... and then reconcile :)

Haha, i just started watching kdramas 2 months ago... and I'm quite far down this rabbit hole with over 22 of them watched already...am really glad there is a refreshing rom-com :)
good points! I'd definitely like if they introduced more fantasy elements; it'd be especially cool if Mr. Gumiho and Lee Dam go on some magical adventures together as well as some suspense/crime :D
Love me some good ol' communication! Bless the screenwriting gods for this one!
I had the same thought... the tropes and romantic plot are all there and done before, but what makes this refreshing is the communication between characters! Even the "bad guy SML"... like wow... they talk, and apologize, and have a respectful heart to heart...
I'm just curious what they will do for the next 10 episodes considering that the second male lead seems to have been axed already and the mains are almost out there with their feelings...
yes right? this plot the he will became a better person because he is in love. done with that. and he is awful…
exactly! if he wasn't given the whole backstory of "awful with all his past gfs" then it'd be whatever, generic but ok... but making anyone want to root for him is so forced... the guy needs self reflection and humility if he wants to become a better person not another woman that will magically change him...
I agree with some of the points below: -pregnancy plot could've been milked longer. -Kang Ha Na is a fun character and needs more screen time haha -Serial killer jokes were funny as well.
I hope more "misunderstandings" happen around his Gumiho nature and powers which would be funny.
And hoping for no annoying love triangles...I also don't like where the SML is quite superficial but suddenly "starts turning into a better guy because of the girl he falls for" trope...
