I’m not trying to take away from the seriousness of this issue by recommending a romantic drama to watch. Youth of May is a romance, but it can introduce you to the history of what happened. It’s not all romance; there are disturbing scenes where innocent students and others were arrested, tortured or killed because they wanted to have a democracy. It also shows how peoples families were torn apart by the false allegations. There was no reason for the government to think they were North Korean spies.

If you’d like to see a drama that shows how pro-democracy advocates were accused of being spies in the early 80’s, watch Youth of May. It’s a recent K-drama from 2021 and you can see it on Viki.

Two reasons. It’s a noona romance, so he should be much be younger than Ha Young Eun and his brother. Also, Jang Ki Yong is 29 years old and Shin Dong Wook is 39 years old.

Does anyone know the age difference between the two brothers? If there was a 10 year age difference, he would have been a teenager or younger when his older brother was in France. That doesn’t make sense to me.

I prefer AHS over potato guy. Potato guy was just cute, not sexy, in Nevertheless. To each her own, I guess. I luv me some AHS!

This is going in my “Dropped” list. Now I know why there are only 12 episodes. 1st red flag: animal and human lab experiments, 2nd red flag: an actor whom I find most annoying is in this show. Regardless, I couldn’t watch more than one episode, and I’ve seen a lot of k-dramas with low rating. I finish most of them if there are any positive attributes. After reading the reviews, it seems like most people who watched at least eight episodes did so because they were fans of the actors. They couldn’t even watch all 12.

This was really cute. I regret paying attention to the negative comments here and putting off watching this drama. I really enjoyed it. It's very sexy, too.

I agree. Jojo and Sunoh had physical chemistry, and he understood things about her without having to ask. (Unfortunately Jojo screwed everything up with the shield and ruined a good thing.) Hyeyoung and Jojo were more like good friends. Sunoh had to introduce Jojo to Hyeyoung half way through season one because she didn't know his name. They worked together at the same restaurant, but he wasn't even on her radar. He had only liked her from afar. I didn't know if Sunoh would be good to Jojo at first because he was so hurt and angry in general. When he got to know her, he treated her very well.

It can be confusing because of flashbacks to season 1, and in season 2 there are flashbacks between pre-2.0 conference and after 2.0 conference. The story spans 5 years, at least since the Love Alarm 1.0 phone app was released. JoJo's house and convenience store should be same as season one, I thought. Maybe they couldn't use the same set for filming.

I like that scenario much better. I'll have to read it.

If JoJo wouldn't have been so secretive, Sun Oh would have understood her. He was very supportive of her and would've helped her. Sun Oh deserved better.

YES! I ❤️ Sun Oh. I agree that's why the reviews are bad. Story and acting were still good quality like season 1.

At the end of season 1 they are older. They can't stay in high school forever.

Don't even start watching until you have rewatched all of Season 1. They do not recap what happened or review the details. This is not a stand-alone drama, so it won't make any sense if you don't have season 1 details fresh in your head. Both seasons are very good and original.
