I tried episode one of this drama.Really put off by the ML already having a harem and at least two sons.
Yeah in our time it's completely uncommon and illegal for men to have multiple wives but this drama was set back in the 1300s back then it was completely normal for men of his status to have a harem
Finally, they're together, rn there’s 4 eps left I really hope they don't rush into the last eps bc
•Baili hasn't sorted her mess/problems with gebi •huainan‘s family dislike luozhi so that's another obstacle
guessing there’s going to be a fast-forward to present time, I feel like they're just going to leave a lot of dilemmas unresolved to show how everyone's "moved on"
but that's only my thoughts I could be completely wrong ;D
People find this drama dragging, boring and too confuse but I don't know how I found it entertaining since 1St…
I don't think anyone has a problem with the fact the characters have one-sided love, it's just that the extremities they're willing to go in order to attain that love are just dumb... yeah we all do stupid things for love BUT, the reason why it's dragging for ppl is that is it really that necessary for the writers to have them repeat the same mistakes over and over.
I think bc most ppl are comparing the characters to the 2019 vr just look at Baili and Zhanyan they're the worst examples of unrequited love, in the 2019 vr both characters were portrayed a lot better when it came to their stories but here their actions are seen as very selfish and condescending, claiming that what their doing is for the sake of the boy they like.
OMG this drama is literally making me curse. Why is Yongle blaming them for getting caught plagiarizing their…
honestly and when they needed help the most he was nowhere to be found, taking all the credit in the end bc he's their senior *eyeroll* I didn't feel sorry for him on bit
Honestly, sometimes there's no justifiable reason for ppl's actions in this drama I feel like they're just dragging the characters' foolishness until the last few eps.
rn the pace is alright but there are so many unnecessary setbacks that could've been dealt with ages ago to make room for the main leads story. I really hope they don't rush things in the last few eps.
sidenote: Also, Gebi has to be the most cringe character didn't even like him from the start, and his whole relationship with Mohan makes me cringe with embarrassment, trying to salvage a relationship with a girl who sees you less as a boyfriend and more as a personal assistant/pet. This guy is not worth it, how I wish I could reach into my screen slap some sense into baili.
I believe that Sj actually had his "happy ending" by not ending up with Jk the relationship would only satisfy one person... why would you want to end up with someone who clearly likes/thinks about someone else it would only make them both suffer.
It was clear from the start that it would take a different turn from the webtoon the writers made jk and sj as kind of a brother-sister duo there was no hope for any kind intimate relationship. I also think jk was kinda dumb with the way she was handled things, but ppl need to need to stop putting her feelings aside just to please themselves telling her to go back to sj bc he was with her when suho wasn't. He was I only making himself suffer by trying to make her love him but in jk eyes, he was there for her like a best friend would or a big brother, the scenes they had together didn't give me any romantic vibes.
Unrequited love is painful I could feel his pain *wipes tears* and he deserved someone who could love him back it was about time that he put himself first before anyone else.
This drama was so refreshing all the mains and supporting roles meshed so well together the dialogue was so smooth not one character seemed like a filler
Yeonghwa and dan ah are just teasing meeee i need another season honestly a must watch
I can agree that this show is veryyy draggy (38 eps is far too much) and confusing at times, the characters' personalities have changed so much compared to the 2019ver but, one thing I can say is that I like the shift in time periods it's a nice twist I always wanted to see what the storyline would be like after they graduate.
why is Qin Yue so petty for, he obviously knows that Lin Xi is dating but still allows her obsessive mother to force an intimate relationship between them *eye roll*

The writers are really sending me on an emotional ride with all these misunderstandings and misconceptions
