Is it just me or is the uncle (the detective) kinda cold towards his niece?Like, in most dramas, when an uncle…
Well, I agree with you. The ML just isn't a really good person. We see he is relaxed about work. His boss asks him why he is late, and it seems not the first time. He sent his coworker to a trap and hasn't even apologised for it (despite the guy mentioning it specifically later), nor has explained himself. He is okay to have sex with his coworker and the fiancee of one of his another coworker/friend. And so on.
i think its both? ever since what happened with her parents, i think shes isolated herself from the world, given…
If she went to school with the niece, she is a minor, isn't she? Why does she live alone then? Shouldn't have the child protection services taken her to the system years ago?
He could be standing there with a shovel, duct tape and a tarp...I've got friends that would get into the vehicle…
A lot of people aren't. You can read about Ted Bundy, an American rapist and serial killer from 1970s. He was considered handsome, and many of his victims went with him voluntarily. Furthermore, after Bundy had got arrested many women became his fangirls and one of them even gave birth to his kid as he was waiting his capital punishment. It's disappointing, but it's reality.
Lee Dahee's character has no S lines on her head, does that mean she is a serial killer, just like the guy with…
Is she even a human? I wouldn't be surprised by some supernatural element. Well, I mean S-lines themselves are a supernatural element in the show, not sci-fi. Maybe she is a demon and it's her goal to make the world burning.
Fourth. The plot is heavy. They sent a lot of messages with just two episodes, and you can pretty much guess what…
I think it might be the homeroom teacher's dealings. In the preview of episode 3 she told she would reveal everything and see the world burning. For example, giving glasses may be some kind of test. Is a person worth it? Yes, Seon A was bullied. But does it mean she is a good person? Bullying is bad, but being bulled doesn't make you good by default. Hyeon Hop is the opposite.
First things first, if the niece really died, applause because it's very rare it happens in live-action. 😂😂😂But…
In the preview for episode 3 the ML talks to the homeroom teacher and he asked her if it was a suicide. Furthermore, at first Sin Hyeon Hop sees the S line of Seon A, but in next shot there is nothing. Maybe it's because it wasn't from her point of view, but maybe she is dead. I am not sure, if Seon A is alive.
Not defending him, but how can he be a cheater when he is single? In addition, so far he's only doing the deed…
He literally had sex with his coworker and his friend's fiancee in episode 1. She invited him to her wedding. I guess from preview for episode 3 the groom will be given those glasses, so he will see it.
I wonder what his next work is, since I don't see anything coming up for him.
To be honest I am pretty sure there is no project yet and it was a polite excuse to save faces for all sides. Either it was a creative conflict about Song Kang Ho's character/the general storyline, or they weren't able to negotiate an amount of work and amount of money. The company said they changed their minds about dividing the show into two parts. Maybe they even have shortened the show from 16 to 12 episodes too.
Huh joon ho is already busy with two other projects so there will be scheduling conflicts. choi min sik won't…
Delusion starring Suzy mentions Huh Joon Ho as a supporting character. Notes from the Last Row has just 6 episodes. Its filming is set to finish in early September. And Delusion is set to finish filming in August. Both cases fit to so called "2-3 months for reorganizing the schedule" for "Insiders." So both Huh Joon Ho and even Choi Min Sik are going to be available, at least in theory. By the way, Huh Joon Ho and Lee Ki Chul, the writer of "Insiders," worked together in "Escape from Mogadishu."
On other hand, Kim Yoon Seok worked with Lee Ki Chul on "Escaped on Mogadishu" as well as with Mo Wan Il, the director of "Insiders," on "The Frog." So it might be Kim Yoon Seok, because both creators know him. I am not sure I will be convinced, but it's possible, and the dude doesn't have any large project now.
Yoo Joon Sang has five big projects now, he is even busier than Huh Joon Ho. Han Seok Kyu might be a good choice in term of talent, but I didn't see him in a role of a powerful man in position of authority.
Lee Kyung Young might be some funny and kinda cliched option. But isn't he still low key cancelled?
P. S. I remembered Lee Kyung Young was in the original movie, so it wouldn't work.
Why did he took out the internal organs? what was the motive. Like we've seen in mouse that the head was cut out…
Yes, I agree.
However I think there also was a power game from his side. They didn't say it clearly in the show, but they threw hints a few times.
Yun Jo Gyun was an extreme narcissist who, for example, couldn't tolerate people who allegedly or truly disrespected him. He killed Eun-Seo's mother, because she left and married another man. He killed the rude/deceiving client of his laundry/dry cleaning after she had tried to extort money from him and humiliated him. A murder was a way to punish "rude people" and "take power back" from them.
His way of killing was paralyzing the victim by pancuronium, It's also a way to feel power, I mean it's a common thing in BDSM -- to bind/handcuff your submissive partner. Jo Gyun enjoyed them being helpless.
At the beginning Seo Se-Hyeon said the killer treated the dead bodies like objects, things, they were nothing more to him (she didn't know about the perpetrator being her father then). It's also a sign of an extreme narcissist, they just don't see other people as human beings (except their biological kids/grandkids in some cases, even less likely other family members).
Maybe the show's creators should have articulated it more clearly. But they were clear enough for me.
Interesting drama so far! The preview has me looking forward to the next episodes. Before I’m asked. Yes, I’m…
Where did you get the Korean subtitles to make the machine translation subs? I agree with you about the context of the scene. I don't see it in usual places yet. They will appear, for sure, in a few days. But I don't want to wait.
It's not the FL's mother who survived. It was her adoptive mother, a former nun from the orphanage. The girl was found by some hikers, then she lived in an orphanage. She showed psychopathic/sociopathic tendencies, so the psychiatrist tried to put her in the special facility. But the nun thought the girl was a good person, she was fond of the child, so she stopped being a nun, left the orphanage and adopted the FL. She was the first adult person who cared about the FL and thought she was good. Now she has Alzheimer's (and the actress had cancer and died during the shootings or soon after it, it was her real sickly look).
Her father is a narcissist who thought about his daughter as his extension, basically a part of his body. So he wanted her to be his successor and to continue murdering people, but also to be under his control all the time, he was a control freak. The FL said something like this during the first police press conference. Blue buckets were for cleaning bodies and storing body parts. He took out internal organs.
He "loves" his daughter and he wants her to be like him.
His is a narcissist and sees his biological daughter as his extension/continuation. basically a part of his own body. Many such cases. Not many of those people are serial killers though.
Man this made in korea is such a huge budget drama for someone like Disney ,I just hope they don't end up getting…
Disney+ has been famous by its expensive shows nobody watches. It's true for American shows, like Marvel or Star Wars ones ($150-200-300M for a season). Maybe it's some money laundromat going, I don't know.
Can anyone please summarize ep14 , ep15. That would be helpful
1. Eun-seo tried to run away with the FL lead (as a child), but Yun Jo-Kyun, AKA Choi Min-guk (Park Yong Woo's character) caught up with them near some cliff. He pushed the "unni," she hit her head, but could protect herself and her stepsister and push Yun Jo-Kyun down the cliff. She tried to call for help, but the FL stopped her, because she didn't trust people (because her father taught her). Eun-seo allegedly succumbed to her head injuries as she was asking the FL to forgive her. It's unlikely she has survived.
2. After her press conference Seo Se Hyeon is kept in the hospital. There are a few days before her files going to prosecution. She was still a main suspect. Yun Jo-Kyun managed to visit her and blackmailed her with the murder of the girl, Se-eun, if she doesn't follow him. She kinda tried, but the police security detail startled them, so she stayed. The sleazy journalist saw Yun Jo-Kyun, followed him, but he was murdered.
3. Yun Ju-Kyun sealed Se-eun in the barrel and left somewhere in the forest. I wonder if the Chekhov's smart watch will work in the finale. He sent flowers to his daughter and noted her about the meeting point. He tried to get seats in the smuggling boat to China for both of them (and killed the smuggler). He also left Se-eun's school uniformed stained with blood (from different people) for the police to find.
4. The police basically was making a fuss, imitated some activity, tried to do something, but was generally incompetent and useless. At least they found the murderer's base of operations, because a granny in a small shop recognized Se-eun who bought some pastry/hamburger/bread. There was the journalist's dead body.
5. The police gave the found uniform to the NFS. The sleazy female doctor tried to put it aside to sabotage the investigation and the FL's fate, but the young female doctor blackmailed her with that sportsman's scandal, and she also found out the boss made some outside guy his successor instead of her. So they know the girl is sound and apparently safe. The FL tried to convince Jung Jeong Hyeon to let her help, but he refused and just asked to trust him again. She told him about her father's visit, and he only tightened her custody's regime instead. So the FL stole some pancuronium and escaped from the hospital.
