It's been so long since I watched this drama! It was the very first one I rewatched; it's that good. And Vaness…
Yes he was! He was also amazing in Love Wont Wait, despite the dreadful ending.

Please do. There is a big reason why it is so iconic. It is for sure one of the best taiwanese dramas
I completely agree!!! :)

Just an update, Ady An is now married and currently pregnant!
Just an update: your news are about the private life of Ady An and this article is about AC, it's main cast and what they're currently doing work wise. Their private life is their private life and of no consequence to their work so please let's be respectful and refrain from talking about it here!

Phenomenal article! Age gaps are interesting I find.

If one gets stuck into it rather than the story then one might miss it's potential. Love is not about age is about love. How acceptable that is depends on the importance one gives to it as long as both parties are legal adults.

Who cares if one is 50 married to a 30 year old? As long as they're happy together that's all that matters. If one is stuck on a maximum age number younger/older and meet someone that doesn't fit the criteria, would one let that person go because he might be 15 years younger or older? It depends. If it's love, then no.

Society is too focused on age but a relationship is between 2 people not the entire society. Hopefully that will change and society will evolve! 2 people in love are 2 people in love, they're not age 45 and age 30.

Autumn's Concerto is one of my all-time favourites! Up to this day I have watched it over five times...Isn't it…
I completely agree with you! :)

Great article! It is always nice to rewatch AC once in a while and I'm glad no one even attempted to remake this…
Thank you! :) I feel exactly the same! Hopefully no one will ever attempt to remake it!

Thanks for the article =) It's nice to get an update on what these guys have been doing. This drama will always…
My pleasure! So do I. Old Taiwanese dramas are sooooooo good!

I bet that we’ll soon have a Chinese remake
I hope not! I sincerely hope not! I can't envision Guang Xi being portrayed by anyone other than Vanness Wu or Liang Xiao Le being interpreted by anyone other than Benny Wen. They had such a strong connection on screen that's pretty hard to replicate and why should anyone want to? The Girl With the Pearl Earring is not replicated by another artist so why should AC be? It's unecessary!

Why was this drama ever made and with KHJ on top of that??? His acting hasn't improved at all, if something it has gotten worse.
Drama_woman May 23, 2019
I started to watch this and enjoyed it and then somehow I stopped and now it's on hold considering I am watching Le Coup de Foudre and I love it so much!

Now thanks to your amazing article as soon as I finish Le Coup de Foudre on Monday I will try and watch this drama as I think I will like it!

I look forward to reading other articles of yours!

In answer to your questions:

- What do you miss most from Dramaland in the 2000s?
How they seemed simpler and more authentic.

- What were your favourite Dramas from the 2000s?
Yikes, all my favourite dramas are mid 2000's upwards. I love Devil Beside You, BOF and Autumn's Concerto which are dramas I still go back to and re-watch.

- How many of these Dramas have you Watched? How many Dramas before 2010 have you watched?
It's hard to count but from your list I've watched 4 in full without dropping.

- Which Actors and Actresses do you wish to reunite or have a comeback?
I'm not big on reunions. They don't seem to work as well as the original dramas that made the superstars.

- Did you enjoy this article?
I did enjoy it up to the part where you started mentioning late 2000's when your article is about early 2000's. Maybe next time write 2 articles one for early and one for late or write one single article about the entire decade?

Apart from that I had a lot of fun reading your article and I look forward to future articles of yours! :)

The official stance from J&A now is that" he is trying to enter the global market "/ My opinion --he's the guinea…
I completely agree with you! I can't wait for“5×20 All the BEST!!” to come out! “All the BEST! 1999~2009“ is amazing!!!

The thing is with Arashi and other Johnny's artists they rarely venture outside of Japan and when they do they pretty much stick to South East Asia which is a shame!

Everyone knows anime and manga which are huge in the west but Japan entertainment wise is so much more than that! Their pop music, their rock music and even metal are really one of a kind! They have such a distinctive sound it's surreal! If they promoted outside of their domestic market, the world 2nd biggest they would thrive!

As such their domestic focused market strategy which yea might work well for them but for international fans who support their artists is a real bummer. The ammount of control agencies have over their artists is unbelievably high. It seems that contracts are even tighter than the ones K-Ent have. I am curious as to why.

When I went to Johnny's in Tokyo, I was surprised with the type of merchandising sold there and not in a good way. They only sold photos, that's it and I thought, ok, this is it??? You wait for nearly an hour to enter to buy photos? Okay. In Korea you can buy anything from photos to cds to dvds the lot at SM. Then in Harajuku, they had at least two years ago stores where could buy K-Pop merch. Not the best place to go to buy it in Tokyo but still. There were also stores that sold J-Pop merch. The difference once again was enourmous. J-artists Photos vs K-artists everything else.

I am hoping that with Hideaki Takizawa becoming president of Johnny's Island he might reform and reorganize Johnny's structure and allow more freedom to their artists to promote their work through social media which will get them more visibility internationally and hopefully more fans. I am hopefully that Hideaki Takizawa will have a positive influence on Johnny's. I liked him as an actor and from what I've gathered he seems a very solid person, wise and with a lot of knowledge which will benefit Johnny's.

What's your opinion on this?
Old_Anime_Lady May 20, 2019
I was really surprised when I saw him on Instagram. Of course I had to start following him! :)

J&A honestly!!! I understand why they do what they do which is a differentiating factor in the midst of all the K-Ent formula copy-paste around South East Asia, but at the same time there is a part of me that hopes they realize the potential international markets have for their Entertainment products and the potential profits if they adjust their marketing strategies to meet international fans half-way. This would still maintain their differentiating factor but in a more harmonious way.

One can hope right?
