it is unfair to say that Zhao didn’t give the benefit of the doubt to Yanlai. Yanlai admitted the crime in front of her, he admit that he gave the pills to Chu Ling and killed him. he could’ve told her the truth about the pills, yes he gave them to her father but he didn’t know they were poisonous and that they were given to him by Yanfang in the first place. but he chose to say nothing and to be guilty.
Zhao sees her but in another version, that version is it another part of her soul? or just her other life’s version that turned out to be sort of cruel and vengeful due to what happened in that life?
I think Yanlai should’ve told Zhao about the pills being given to him by Yanfang but instead she learned the truth by Zhong Changrong.
and I think Madam Ge should’ve stayed with Zhao, sure she wanted to help and save everyone but she got reunited with her daughter, there might have been another solution.

yes I think so. Zhao’s father has a high position and a status to maintain so there might have been something that occurred and made Zhao’s mother leave.
yeah, the way she looked at her, the way she talked to Zhao and at the end she said “your mother loves you” so either she is her mother or she knows her. but apparently Zhao’s mother is alive.
