i just learned that people are pitting two different dramas against each other and now they're trying to rate low each other's drama here and there 😭 BFR y'all please stop. let's just mind our business because it won't change the fact that SOM is the most highest rated idol drama in Weibo (9.1 rating) and both the leads literally have one of the most healthiest fandoms out there so stop dragging them (not even the fans in the mainland are toxic) the hate will just go straight to the actors. let's just focus and give some love to zhao jinmai and song wei long

i hope people aren’t being swayed by reviews or comments here saying this drama is so boring. don't let this kind of review stop you from watching this masterpiece, you have to see it yourself. i also need people to understand that this series isn't just about the main couple (keep this in mind)— you’ll see a lot of their families and the business side of things, which is actually important. If you’ve read the novel, you’d know that almost half of it focuses on business. this drama doesn’t only center on romance but also on the family lore (nxg parents, nxg aunt, lin yusen mom etc.) so if you don't like that type of drama then this is probably not for you. i understand if you don't like the business part though, but a lot of people in mainland china really like it because it's well-thought out and interesting (i noticed that when reviewing they're usually very critical, but the fact they like it is a good sign to the point Shine On Me is the highest rated idol drama in weibo, with 9.1 rating) one thing I don’t really like, though, is the SML, I feel like his screen time is way too much, ugh.

the hate is so forced

it's bc this drama doesn't just focus on the romance part, they will actually show some of the main leads parents/family and it has work stuff too, which js extremely important for this show

the fact equal billing is possible why do others say that two popular actors like for example ZLH and Zlusi can't be tgt in a drama due to billing issues? this is genuine question bc im curious
