my opinion on ep17 I read so many people dropped this xianxia and some complained why ty has to take out yh's hps which seems unnecessary.
I think it was a good plot to show how ty loved yh and willing to sacrifice himself for her also for yh.considering its a xianxia I knew that ty will have to take the hps sooner or later so I rather it sooner so they can clear up the misunderstanding and move on.
if they have left it until last few episode I would feel it rushed considering the ML have to gain back yh's trust and little time for them to have a HE.so I think pushing this trope earlier is very reasonable especially the outcome after and how ty slowly gained yh's trust ending for them to sacrifice their life for each other.
