That being said, it is also a prime example why in my fresh-faced half year of watching kdramas, i never gave…
Understandable! I can say that not all fandoms are like this, the toxic fans are mostly just following the popular groups/artists, the less popular gorups/artists have a much smaller fandom and those fans are often chill. I do listen to other Korean music (OST, rock, hip hop, trot, acapella, opera, ballads etc) and thankfully those fans are also chill even though some of those groups/artists are popular.
I've also noticed there's a lot of toxic fans on the international sites/forums, like every day there's always some people who are fighting with each other and making small things to become a big deal. I remember when it was like that back in the days among the Swedish kpop fans, now the majority of us are young adults and adults, so there's like almost never any fights or fanwars in the Swedish kpop forums anymore. It's the same with kdrama, we just agree to disagree when people have different opnions about a drama... while if I say that I dislike a kdrama on an international site/forum, there will be people attacking for my opinion ^^'

I'm both a kmovie (not so much for kdramas, but do like to watch it sometimes) and a kpop fan, but I almost never interact with kpop fans anymore because there's so many toxic ones. It was much more chill back in 2010 when I was new to kpop, but it has gotten worse over the years. So what I can recommend you, if you ever want to try kpop, is to just listen to the music and just ignore the fandoms/fans.
Why are people not watching this masterpiece? I know this was only added recently but it needs to go higher in…
Well it's probably because it isn't their type of plot an Apple TV isn't that popular compared to other streaming sites. When it comes to me, it has all the genres I mostly avoid to watch as I'm more for dark fictions with as little romance as possible.
I prefer IMDb, Naver, Daum and some other sites over MDL when it comes to ratings because it feels like the ratings here aren't fair at all as it seems like some people are too biased. I mean, it happens often that people rate it high like 10 just because their favorite actor or kpop idol is in it, some haven't even watched the movie first. Also when it comes to BTS movies and other idol movies, you can't trust those ratings at all if you aren't a fan of those groups/artists, people often rate them high as they're fans of them and the majority of those who have watched those movies are their fans. For example I've watched a movie about the jrock band One Ok Rock, but I've told others to watch it if they're a fan of them, it's because I know that people who aren't a fan of them will not enjoy it that much.
Also I've seen that slow paced kmovies often get lower ratings on MDL, and I've thought it may be because a lot of younger people are using this site, that it may be that reason why the ratings looks like that. I remember when I was new to kdrama and kmovie, I didn't like those slow paced plots that much - I was a high school student back then. But now, 9 years later, I appreciate those plots more. Also in a fb group I'm in, the majority are adults and seems to also like those kmovies. So that's why I've thought it might be that reason for the lower ratings on those kmovies.
I started to watch this one the day it got released and I still haven't finished this one, I'm struggling to want to continue watching it as I'm only on ep8. All characters are annoying more or less, also the only main lead that I really dislike is Nam On Jo, she's just too much.
From Warner Music Korea channel, it has more views than Sanchez own channel, so I'll link it too even though I prefer the artist's own channel: https://youtu.be/kqRA1qELMlw
I couldn't relate to any of these. I jsut watch dramas that sounds interesting, I'm one of those that like dark plots with a little romance as possible. I also don't interact that much with drama fans.
I thought no one could beat Meteor Garden 2018 when it comes to having a lot of advertisements, but this one has so much so it really becomes ridiculous. Advertisement like this makes me more uninterested to buy their products because this feels very forced. Like every episode feels like that they must've a few scenes that looks like it's taken from a commercial, it looks very unnatural.
It's the same for me, I'm on ep6 and I can say this isn't my favorite version. For me, the Japanese version is…
It says "Adapted from a manga" in the tags of that one. If I remember it right, China said it wasn't an adaption from the one, I guess that's why they changed so much because of copyright etc. But if you watch it, you'll see it's taken from Hana Yori Dango, four guys who rules the school and she's the only one who goes against them so she becomes their target, she's the poor girl while the others are rich in that prestigious school etc. Also the ML will get amnesia in S2 and his mother is against their relationship etc.
I think it's funny how they really tried to convince the viewers that this has nothing to do with HYD lol
