I agree, his character is difficult, he has intj personality type which can be seen as cold and lacking emotion. And he was bratty in the beginning lol. But he had so much character development
Hats off to this drama in all seriousness. I cannot find any tangible fault with it. It's not so sensationalist like many kdramas nowadays, which is a huge plus for me. Loved both the mains and sides, they are all outstandingly well written characters. The outcome was satisfying too. I much recommend it, I actually don't really understand why some people here comment negatively, even the first episode already makes a much better impression than the drama that people seem to constantly bring up in relation with this (for the record, i checked that one out too before watching this one and the quality difference was apparent within like 15 minutes)

Ugh, the beginning of this drama was really intriguing, it was also interesting to see the historical stuff. But the second half of it was utterly boring, it was dragging so much I could hardly finish it. I think they totally missed this one.
The opinions here are so horrible but I hope it's just a question of taste. I'm on episode 8 right now and so far I like it. Yunxi is ethereal, and Yuqi is so cute. I like the costumes, I think the chemistry is good and most importantly, the main character is not 100% annoying like in so many dramas i tried to watch before this one. I know i've got 40 more episodes to go so there is plenty of room for it to go wrong but still I am shocked how badly people talk about this drama.
