i used to be like you newkdramaaddict unnie. i even have a collection of OSTs since early 2000s- i have it in CD from, so old fashioned. hihi. but sadly i can only relate to what's up. i particularly like Daesung's piece. :) indeed, when they do musicals in k-dramas = eargasm.

i agree magaling talaga ang mga jdorama. but i can't resist the "pretty" that is kdrama. hihihi. and i agree with twn dramas-- nakikita ko kasi ang quality nya parang pinoy teleserye lang-- turn-off. secondarily, the sound of their language is annoying, medyo mas ok ang tunog ng hongkong kaysa twn.

I do not think using a term to describe sick monsters is appropriate for a positive spin. I also think that sexually…
what i've written is not a joke to me also. it may sound fun but that came from my personal experience, and i don't condone negative acts or wrongdoings also. i am not talking about pedophilia per se here, thus i clearly said "conotata" and not "denotata". i am talking about the popular term being used in hallyu "pedonoona" (it has evolved already and now became a new word)- and that popular term does not widely connote negativity among users of this word or terminology as you can see from the reactions of users- in actuality, i think that the word "pedonoona" is already part of hallyu's language-game and we can never take it back. language is constructed by people- and by people means the majority who uses that particular language. never did i intend to play-up pedophilia here. my article is about a happy fangirl's experience, nothing more. i myself is a development worker so i can totally relate w/ you about exploitation and consumerism in hallyu.
it may be a long discussion about the use or rules of language and society as a whole but i think i'll stop here. thanks for opinion! *cheers* :)

hi orion! i am one of your blog follower (or are you the one?)<3 thanks for your opinion- that's why i put in my article some explanations about "language" and "language-game." and yeah, there's a diff in the interpretation of the term so my reference is the "conotata" and not the "denotata". and about that korean industry- i've read an article from Asian Social Science-- re: korean wave, consumerism, world economy etc...i totally agree with you about that. :)
Call me narrow-minded, but I would never define myself by using a word even half-related to pedophilia. I'm not…
i agree the word just arrived/evolved from somewhere. but as some philosopher said, language is a social construct and it evolves constantly (and it goes extinct the/one of the fastest bc of faster cultural change) so i think it makes sense that the most popular reference for "pedo" used in pedonoona is it's "conotata" and not it's "denotata". and yes, i take your opinion wholeheartedly. *hugs*
