As someone who loved the original work (violence & all) I look forward to this new take on the story. Seems the writers have chosen to have the male lead grow a conscience and change his ways. I do wonder how much they will stick to the original character of Domyouji in terms of his violent & obsessive personality . After all the character in the manga series is written as a psychopath who does not change at all through out the entire series.
I have disliked most of the adaptations because they veer off from the original story & characters. with the exception of the Taiwanese version "Meteor Garden", which is truly the only adaptation that stuck to the original storyline in the manga.
Recent adaptations/reboots of "Boys over flowers" have been pretty bad. But I must say I am actually looking forward to this adaptation and I don't anticipate it will disappoint. They chose the actors well for the F4.
K Dramas are already widely distributed internationally in that they are way more accessible than say 10 years ago. Itaewon Class was fairly popular on Netflix in the U.S. Asians dramas are all over Netflix and Hulu in America. Let's be honest here, Vincenzo is a well produced drama, but a game changer it is not.
In fact I would argue that "Itaewon Class" is the actual game changer.
Poor Haruto he's been manipulated and taken advantage of by so many people. Neither Ruka or Aoyama loved him, they just wanted to possess him. All they thought about was getting what they wanted without a care for Haruto.
This really could have been one movie had they not had so many flashbacks and irrelevant characters. Film 1 is certainly the best out of the three. This one was alright and not as much of a train wreck as film 2. The ending for this film is surprising/unexpected though not in a bad way...I guess (really depends on your perspective). While the acting in this film is what you would expect, I must say the noises coming out of Haruto in one of the sex scenes sounded so real I wondered about what they really did on set XD.
I don't know if it's important, but on the official YouTube channel they post a message. Because I don't understand…
hmmm, it seems they were talking about releasing special BTS footage. That appears to be the only thing uploaded on the official youtube Sunday at 10pm JST.

Hmmm, I'm starting to think this is one of those overly produced AV films with an actually storyline and character development.
