because when hyeryeong made her wish, she self-exited and so the app became doomed and cursed from then onalso…
probably because siwon ripped apart the protection amulet that her mum made for her🥶
that ruined everything so spirits started going after siwon and the mum tried to reverse this by sacrificing herself to protect her daughter from the spirits
(that failed tho, bcuz THEN hyeryoung placed a curse on her and the whole app thing happened)
