i think its foolish to compare the two seasons since season 2 started from where s1 left. if u watch both in one go it'll feel complete. without s1, s2 wouldnt exist and without s2, s1 would end up being a drama with plenty of plot holes and unanswered questions. also its annoying how people find change in fl as unnecessary... seriously? the whole story would've lost its point. it was obvious from ep 1 that naksu will return to her original body. s1naksu had strong determined character, which was how naksu was made by the villians but s2 naksu was puppy like sunshine character, which was how she would have been if they didnt exploit her. i think both played their roles well and sailed with the story smoothly. s2 focuses more on romance and answering questions from s1, hence it may feel rushed. but if u think its episode 21 instead of episode 1, its perfect. overall both seasons combined, Aos is perfect combo of romance, action, good story and beautiful characters with amazing visual effects. you need a lot of attention to understand everything that hapepened in these 10 epsiodes though. this is going to my rewatch list and its def 10/10
i do not know why i always pushed this drama away and only decided to watch it now. maybe bcoz of the ml whom i found very annoying in extraordinary you but here... damn he was perfect. i was longing to watch a drama like this, strong fl, amazing strolyine and amazing cinematography. and that ending? i wonder how people who watched it while it was airing waited for next season bcoz right now im immediately gonna watch season 2. definitely 10/10.
The story is quite interesting and the acting is good too but idk why I find this very draggy and boring? Maybe it's the execution or screenwriting.. or maybe I just like slow burns I was taken aback by them liking each other by 4th episode already... I want to drop it but also not...
why this drama has such low rating is really a mystery to me. it was quite a perfect balanced drama of happiness and sadness, the acting was top notch giving the outstanding cast and since love triangle is a major trope in this i dont get why people find it so bothering? i feel many gave low ratings bcoz they were rooting for the sml but if u put that aside you'll realise that ml relly deserved to be ml. other than that, the storyline was engaging too with equal shares of ups and downs with many nice messages. i'd say its solid 8 but raising it to 8.5 bcoz why not? i feel people really overshadowed the whole plot of this drama over the love triangle... what a shame :(
strong acting weak plot. i felt they dragged it a lot especially in the beginning. the name of the main character here means revenge and that was his main reason to return but the said revenge was lost for the first half of the drama. the idea of 26 y/o attending school already seemed off but him acting like he was going through puberty was totally absurd. also i did not enjoy the romance, the fl was dumb enough to ruin ml's life(just bcoz she THOUGHT that ml pitied her) and ml accepted her and liked her even after that (is this possible?) also the same ml refused to forgive the sml who was equally wrong like the fl. the favouritism?
after like 19 episodes when revenge part actually started thats when things got interesting but still got accompanied by cringiness of the romance (typical mid break up trope). after a while you can overlook that but still not enjoy it as much.
now about se ho our sml, was quite dumb as well and until the end. my man needed to be saved by the ml till the LAST episode like come on? although i'll say that his arc of the story was the best but i wished he standed for himself without the ml having to tell him to do so multiple times.
i'll give it to their acting though, all of the characters did pretty amazing and made the very bad writing quite watchable. love the wildflower class and the kids there. overall if u have patience to wait till like 16 epsiodes maybe you'll enjoy it. or not?
the graphics are out of the world and omg the storyline? how did someone even think of this. jong suk nailed it really. it felt so empty when it ended like its over?
the pain of watching it while it was airing, the wait for every episode almost killed me then. this drama is calling me for a rewatch and i feel like answering it :D
was not really satisfied with the ending, felt like the fml couldnt get out of her husband's grasp and got played kinda... it was an okay and slow watch though
damn the bullying scenes made my gut wrench... makes me wonder if bullying culture is really that bad in sk but sometimes few things that happen there really makes me believe so :)
