This 💯. I haven't read the novel but I know everything. I haven't finished the show but I know everything. We're stuck in this cycle of pain. X____X

The Twilight era was an epic one. I was a bit older than you but I feel I basically haven't grown up at all since the pain remains the same 😂 once I get this emotionally attached, all hell breaks loose hahah

Yeah, but the love/hate relationship I have with this show is maddening. The more I read about it, all those novel excerpts and the million spoilers, the less I want to finish it. I just wish I could erase it from my memory 🤧... not TJC, though. I want to keep remembering him for the rest of my days 😹

My gosh, the way I can’t move on from this and also can’t bring myself to finish the episodes… I think I may need therapy but what do I tell the therapist? They’ll lock me up 😭

A little heart-to-heart because you're all wonderful people and it's been a joy to participate in this discussion.

So let me share what I feel as I type this and what I have been feeling from (almost) the beginning. I mentioned somewhere below that Deng Wei brought me here (I loved him in Mess the Dragon, yes mess 'cause that was a mess heh), and yet his character is also what made me leave (I repeat, his character, because the actor is lovely and he's got so much potential). I guess I'm consistent LOL. But jokes aside, after everything I've read and all the spoilers I've been drowning myself in for the past month, I (again, almost) don't have a problem with the ending of *that* particular character (liar, liar pants on fire).

My biggest gripe with this otherwise stunning production is that, unlike the novel, where our imagination can run wild, a drama SHOWS us things that at the end of the day will make us feel absolutely exasperated, and by the time this is all over, we'll be feeling feelings and not in a good way (for me at least, and I think for a bunch of other people as well). So, knowing this, I've been trying really really hard to wrap my mind around the much anticipated "endgame" and put on a fake smile to pretend it's going to be the best ending ever, but so far I'm failing spectacularly.

Anyway, that's a me problem, obviously. So just let me take a moment to applaud all the viewers who have been rooting for the right guy from the very first second (especially the novel readers). You guys are amazing and you truly managed to see things that others simply could not. I guess the best part of discovering this drama was reading the many different perspectives on these fascinating characters. Over and out. ♥️
