The grandpa wanted the the grandson to have the body, that's why he jumped into the pool. It's the grandson who rejected it; that's because it's the grandson's redemption arc. He saw that he was not a good person and he wanted to finally do something selfless for his grandpa. so it's not unfair to Ze Fang. But year, Ri Qing is the extra... they should have planted someone in the series from the start for him. But that ending would be too neat too.

is it forgettable because the couple didn't break up at ep 11? Breaking up and reconciling gives audience that catharsis. But to me, I thought it was quite refreshing that they didn't.
