I agree with you about the good stuff but the script is bad though. In ep 1, all the bl cliches are squeezed into the first 15 min: broken ankle, football, rich hot guy in sports car, pairing with classmate to dance, etc. the story is lame. I blame the writer. It’s like asking AI to write the most cliche bl.
I think offgun put me off the "stupid, silly uke" trope forever. I love gun, i think he can act. But over time, he's always typecast as the stupid uke who can't even function properly in society. He keeps playing that kind of role. And that really puts me off the trope. Wataru seems to fall into that trope.
the two leads' face cards are insane. they look like they are AI. But the story feels like it's written by a 14 year-old. Whoever is the novelist and scriptwriter - stop writing.

nah. a good director takes the medium into account. Maybe it may work as a film, but as a series, this doesn't work. There are many good mystery thrillers like kdrama Signal and beyond evil that i like. But this Unfold director couldn't make it work.

It offers some variety: I watch one ep of payback (stressful), then one ep of ChermChey (relaxing), then one ep of Prosecutor's proposal (stressful). At least I have a break in-between stressful series. I guess if you are just bingewatching Chermchey on its own, it can come across as boring. But for me, it calms me down.

hm.. i don't mind the plot though. It's just a "slice of life" story. Relaxing to watch. No stress watching it. If you wanted something stressful, you can try double helix or the prosecutor's proposal or backdoor or payback. I thought it is nice to have some variety in BL: some stressful BLs, some relaxing BL. and this is the relaxing one.
