Hopefully!! I also think it would be a waste not to continue this series of dramas. We don't get that often in cdrama so being able to do that and be well accepted is already a really good thing

Yes because SCH doesn't trust anyone in Tianqi and with what ZQ said about partnering with a prince who's most likely to be emperor, I guess that would really stuck in SCH's mind. No one is more powerful than an emperor as a backer anyway

Yes. He is already doubting if they can really gain something from Prince Langya considering the ongoing rumors becoming more spread even to common people. They should have stayed in Nan'an lol

Ikr! That's my same thought while watching the new ep. It's so good they have tackled Prince Langya's life here for a while even if the drama is of course heavily focused on An He. We also get to see how the suspicion and rumors first started and came that led to his ending, bc we only get to see bits of his ending story in TBOY

Me hoping they should have all stayed in Nan'an instead of pushing to Tianqi, they could have wiped off that sect who doesn't want them to settle in Nan'an hahahahahaha but oh well, hoping for a bit of their story if the sequel of TBOY really gets released

well, we are sure we won't see that ending here since it will happen in TBOY so we can maybe expect a HE 🙏🏼 hopefully

Spoiler: He is part of the antagonist in TBOY because Su Changhe and the rest of the blood river have partnered with Prince Xiao Yu (7th prince) in TBOY which also creates the drugged puppets like here in Blood River with Prince Xiao Yong (1st prince) doing it. However, Su Changhe crossed so many lines, killing so many people and even making the blood river members the drugged puppets. And the rest is for you to know if you ever watch the 2 dramas 😅 I hope you do because it's going to be nice knowing all the 3 dramas and connecting them. But just like what was also commented to you. Su Muyu wouldn't have much screentime in DY and TBOY, he is just a guest role. Different actors also played him in all 3 dramas but the actor who played him in TBOY is the actor who acted as his father here in BR

TBOY is technically a sequel to this. Timeline-wise, it started with Dashing Youth, Blood River happens after it and The Blood of Youth will happen years after Blood River. You can try watching the other 2 as well

ok now I definitely have a clearer guess why SCH and the rest chose to side with Xiao Yu in TBOY. since their first choice, Prince Langya will be gone, and I'm guessing first prince Xiao Yong would die or either sent somewhere but definitely won't be in the run for the throne, Xiao Chuhe will be gone for a long time following Prince Langya's death and Xiao Chong still underestimated due to his blindness, so the only choice they have in the royalty that is really fighting for the throne and to get a strong foothold is really just Xiao Yu. Not until Chuhe went back and the whole TBOY happened. That is such a sad story for them isn't it

SMY story is sad for how he became an orphan but he knows what he wants. But SCH story is more sadder, he never experienced or remember the childhood even SMY had. He wanted to bring everyone into the light but he has no "myself" with the choices he makes here in BR. When he finally got the taste of why SMY wanted to be free, he certainly like it as well but he can't. I don't remember much from TBOY anymore but I guess SMY agreed bc SCH bad choices already crossed so many lines and is hurting the BR rather than protect it. They could only cut off SCH and make deals with someone powerful to accept them as regular people. From what it is now in BR since you're still in ep 18, even tho they cut off most of the string binding them to be free, they couldn't still live as a regular sect bc the people around them and other sects are not welcoming them or letting them settle peacefully so they needed to be allied with someone powerful (maybe the reason SMY accepted in TBOY since it is XS who promised him)

I think they will end it with HE. But you're right, it would be great if they could have atleast end it with showing (if there is) what went to SCH's mind or what even happened that he decided to make those really bad choices

That's why I feel sad hearing SCH speak sometimes bc what if he had no choice (in future TBOY) and just made bad choices to the point of no return when all of them including him just wants to be a regular person. He had the whole responsibility of bringing everyone. Maybe that's why SCH in TBOY isn't mad at his ending bc his death actually allowed the whole BR to finally be free (afaik I can remember of why SMY agreed)

Yes you're right. It's hard to cast some bc we can't know if they're younger or older and we don't have the age info so most probably just basing on their faces. I'm happy tho that some actors reprised their roles, so it's easier to remember them bc some, I still have to look the cast list 😅

Hahaha ikr!! I also wouldn't take an effort counting the age difference. I'd rather just watch the show and connect some dots casually like who's whom connected and who are they in the trilogy 😂 it would have give us the headache if we still cared so much for those

This blood river won't overlap with the timeline of TBOY, right? bc it's sad to think how this whole journey of just wanting to walk in the light would be really so hard to reach just like what BHH told SMY before going to Tang Clan. To think that SCH will end up doing those things in TBOY and how SMY and SCH will be after all this journey. it must have been too much burden for SCH already to choose the dark side in the later time (yea i mean he got greedy and went off road their original goal in the future) but still like what SZ said, he can choose a peaceful life, SMY can too but since he is the Patriarch, he can't.

Anyway, so good to see Tang Lian and Xiao Chong. I noticed they don't show the leads from the other dramas lol like how they don't even show Xiao Se as a kid in DY and how Baili Dongjun isn't shown here in BR considering the amount BDJ was mentioned but LHY has a lot of appearances. Also, since I forgot some things and loves the relation of these 3 dramas, I often check the casts for this trilogy, I noticed Xie Xuan actor here in BR acted as Wushuang disciple in TBOY 😅 but it's great to see actors reprising their roles like how, SMY father is SMY in TBOY even tho Gong Jun played here and another actor played in DY. It really feels like a universe in these 3 dramas. I finally catched up as well so I'm now waiting with all of you. Can't wait for the next episodesss
