With many both great and negative thoughts of the drama community, finally, Radio Romance has come to an end!

When I first saw this drama I squealed! Kim So Hyun is in this, she's kind of one of my favorites at the moment. The story looked promising too: your average love story, which you'd except to offer viewers many fluffy and cliche drama scenes that we all love. First of all, yes, there was an obnoxious amount of cliches that were honestly a bit too much. The storyline, quite unique and promising, turned out into a rich family feud that is almost like cancer in the Kdrama world. Second, there were many diverse characters in the drama, including an enthusiastic and cheerful female lead, a rich and arrogant male lead, the crazy but sweet second male lead, the mean CEO and many more. What I found the most dissatisfying and the reason why I quickly removed the drama from my favorites list was the lack of chemistry between the main couple. I didn't like Yoon Doo Joon's acting one bit! Why did the directors of this drama had to make him so possessive towards the end? Felt more of a psycho rather than a jealous male lead if you ask me. On the other hand, many people argued about Kim So Hyun being too young for her role, however, I though the opposite: she was spunky, cool and her fashion sense was amazing! So, without the strong chemistry and deeper meaning in a drama, I couldn't bring myself to say that this drama was brilliant. But surely, I'd rewatch it and give it some more though.

I personally knew that Radio Romance would surely be in my top drama list. But that didn't go as planned, I lost it as the drama was progressing downhill. Oh well, I still hope 2018 brings us something better.

Mr. Sunshine was a fantastic drama! Just the overall feel of it, the cinematography, the excellent writing, acting and the mesmerizing soundtrack made it look like an out of this world masterpiece. I probably started watching this because of the reviews and because Netflix also streamed it. It's a great series for beginners into the Korean drama world. Plus, it's educational and a must-see for history lovers. First of all, I appreciate all of the effort put into design, costumes and the scenery. It did feel like the viewers were living in Joseon. Second, there were so many various characters of different backgrounds and aims, so many to choose from to be your favorite. Personally, the badass Gu Dong Mae and the fiery Kudo Hina stole my hearts. Not to mention all of the side characters which made the dialog and storyline very enjoyable. The only thing that I disliked was that there were no intimate scenes between the lead couple. Some might argue that it isn't necessary for a drama of this sort, but somehow it made the love story a bit unrealistic at times. Third, I've admired the interchangeable serious and comedic moods throughout the drama. The comedy lifted off the seriousness once in a while and it was refreshing. In addition, the transition between Korean, English, Japanese and sometimes other languages felt super sophisticated and alive. And fourth, I have to admit that the soundtrack was fantastic and now in my daily playlist. So many great artist became a part of the OST and brought in different colors to the series.
Overall, this is definitely a gem and one of the best-produced Korean dramas out there. If you enjoy beautiful shots, historical shows and good quality dramas in general, please pick this one up and watch it. It will forever be remembered and quoted by me anyways!

Most simply put - a rollercoaster of emotions taking you on an adventure of self discovery and to teach you how to love life. It's always the things in front of us that we don't realise but makes us happy.

The pacing of this drama and the episodes were unreal, very unlike the typical Kdrama structure and leaning more towards tv shows that are mainstream. That just shows the power of Netflix to take the production to the next level. Maybe with some minor plot holes the story was captivating, unique, and kept me at the edge of my seat as I was watching. Very easy watch nevertheless with very likeable characters, and a very genuine connection between the two main leads. Seriously felt like a breath of fresh air watching the two bicker, laugh and fall in love with each other all over again.

Can't wait to rewatch this all over again and share with the rest of the world.

This was one of the dramas of 2017 that I started watching as soon as it first aired and I just finished it today. Man, it was soooooo good! It's a perfect combination of the rom-com and thriller genres. Never have I ever watched a drama where I was squealing almost every episode from the cutesy and romantic scenes but also where there was suspense and horror lurking in the corner. And it never got boring or super cheesy, especially I was very fond of the unique humor. It was very well incorporated to make this series fresh and easy to watch. Some people might criticize the violence or the unnecessary abuse scenes in the drama, but half of this story is unrealistic and shouldn't be taken very seriously.

It's a wonderful story about 2 people falling in love, how they develop feelings and trust among each other. I couldn't help but smile every time the leads were shown together, their chemistry is out of this world. The other actors did a spectacular job as well, none of the side characters were left out, since they got enough screen time to display their own unique roles.

If you're into very sweet and cute romance stories, you'll definitely enjoy this one like a delicious dessert. It's worth all of the hype so go watch it ASAP!

This must be added to my list of favorite Korean Dramas. I'm amazed at how these Asian dramas are starting to get better and more unique every year, and Goblin is definitely a piece of gold in this big and wide range of Korean Dramas.
I have to start off with the storyline. I've always been quite a fan of mythical creatures, especially stories about Japanese deities and gods in anime. When I first saw that this story revolves around similar folklore beasts and spirits, I was swiftly drawn into it. It was quite a ride seeing the mythical creatures being portrayed by the amazing and super talented actors. I mean, the Goblin and the Grim Reaper's bromance speaks for itself. At first glance, I thought that the main couple, the Goblin and his bride, was kind of strange and unrelatable, but they made such a cute connection during the series. I've been familiar with Kim Go Eun's acting in Cheese In The Trap so it was quite a surprise seeing her act as a bubbly and fun character, unlike the other drama. However, my biggest appreciation of romance goes to the ultimate Grim Reaper and Sunny. Their screen time is so strong and made me quite anxious each and every episode... Their chemistry is unbelievable, they definitely need a separate series! *totally would watch*
The OST was selected perfectly. Loved the little touch of incorporating classical and pop music. The breathtaking shots of the nature and Quebec made the visuals of this drama out of this world unforgettable!
Not only does this drama combine polar genres like comedy, romance, history and tragedy into one harmonized series, but also it combines existential and every day problems with the perception of time. Never has a Korean Drama changed my views on death and love like Goblin. This is worth appearing onto national television it was that good! I'm gonna miss it, but it's also in a need of a re-watch sometime soon!

I have not heard of this drama before, but I was suddenly introduced to it my by friend and the big billboard in Hongdae, Seoul, which advertises this Netflix original. I loved it! And I believe that any horror/sci-fi genre lover will do so as well. To summarise, I feel like this drama was somewhere in between The Walking Dead and Attack on Titan. The CGI was throwing me off the first couple of episodes, but overall, it was a great effort for Korean production working alongside Netflix. Personally, I have not read the Webtoon, but apparently, it is a lot different story-wise, so I might just pick the Webtoon up. But the characters were immaculate and the character development was very strong. I grew really close to some actors and their roles, hopefully there is a season 2 to continue the story.

Upon hearing so many positive reviews and remarks about this drama, the craze has gotten into me as well. I decided to binge-watch this during my mandatory quarantine. It was very difficult to get into the drama right at the very beginning - the plot seemed too thick to debunk. There was a shroud of mystery surrounding the characters, which was intriguing, but together very complex and required complete concentration to realise the whole plot. The story seemed very underrated and very unlike the traditional cheesy Kdrama. It tackles themes such as mental illness, murder, friendships, romance, childhood trauma and so much more. To be honest, it can be a handful to handle for a beginner watcher. However, the cast is very talented, just as expected from Kdrama veterans, which were perfectly chosen to act for this difficult series. I believe that the characters and the acting is what made this drama spectacular and completely unforgettable. Not to mention the gorgeous sets and beautiful outfits. You cannot disagree that Ko Moon Young is definitely a Kdrama style icon of 2020. In addition, the soundtrack was very fitting, with a mix of Korean ballads and English songs. Personally, I could not rate this a 10 as it was lacking clarity and was not that captivating at the start: I only got into the series as it was progressing. But I will not forget the chemistry and the acting of this drama. Overall, this series is definitely a new concept and I can see the praise behind it. If you are into deeper, heart wrenching and a bit disturbing themes and plots, I feel like you will enjoy this a lot!

I am so glad I decided to watch this. Was feeling very sad a couple of nights ago, and watching movies that transcend a similar vibe make me more at peace. First off, I really loved the trailer. However, the story was a lot different than I have imagined. It's your typical tear-jerker chronic illness movie, when we all know that the characters cannot stay true to themselves and go great lengths to make others happy before their death. The main couple was beautiful, even more beautiful was the story and how they sacrificed individually. Kind of makes you believe in soulmates, does it not? The overall aesthetic and the vibe of this movie left me really impressed. Makes me want to explore Taiwanese production more. I would definitely recommend this for people who like melodramas, it is a really nice and simple movie.

So this drama finally ended.

The Great Seducer has always been in my list of dramas that I must watch. Mainly because I'm a big fan of Joy from Red Velvet and I love her acting. Some people did argue and say that she is an amateur actress so right from the start when this show started airing, I was a bit put off by all of the negative comments. First and foremost, I don't get why so many people rate this series as low as 3 or 4 because there are clearly wayyyy more poorly produced dramas in this world. I'm guessing many wanted to see something familiar with the original French story. It's a shame that I haven't read the mother story of The Great Seducer as a piece of literature so I can hardly compare the Korean TV version with the book. Personally, I was expecting this drama to be intriguing, dark, sexy and overall too melodramatic. This series seemed to have smalls chunks of almost every genre, but comparing the first and the last episodes side by side you could even make a logical assumption that the director became a completely different person. I wanted a heart-wrenching story about something inhumane and this drama did not even come close to exceeding my expectations. The characters were very stereotypical, I even loved the side characters more. However, I did enjoy Joy's strong female character and her development. On a more positive note, the music selection was spot on for this drama with the classical music. The cinematography and the music are what made me stay and finish it.

I could see how this drama could've been so much better, but it's not completely unwatchable as many other people claim. Don't worry and go watch it - you might even enjoy it more than you think.

This is yet again a poorly adapted movie from a famous shoujo manga. I seriously demand a remake because this is originally such a lovely and interesting manga series!

The storyline is very basic and quite intriguing, so if you're interested after reading the plot summary, just head to read the original manga! I guarantee that it's a 100 times better than this adaptation. I guess the movie sucks because the screenwriters had to jumble up 5+ volumes of the manga's storyline into as little as 2h. In my opinion, the writers for this movie adaptation didn't select the right scenes to film, didn't show the development of the supporting characters. Everything felt very unrealistic and out of place, believe me. Not to mention the horrible acting. I thought that the cast was fresh and inexperienced. But to my surprise, the lead actors are actually very famous and this movie is not their biggest one. Especially the female lead - I haven't seen such bad acting in a very long time!

Overall, if I had to put my review in a few words, I'd say that this movie is enjoyable only if you put it on as a background noise while doing your homework. Definitely not worth watching. However, if you're interested in the plot, quickly head to read the manga! It is so much better on paper!

P.S. That ending scene with Bruno Mars' "Marry You" was the cringiest thing I've ever seen...

This drama is totally a definition of a very cheesy drama, but not necessarily in a bad way. It has every element of what a real rom-com should be like, starting from the rich man poor girl and ending with the evil mother. It was short, sweet and very fast paced. So if you're looking for a quick and cute drama to ease your heart, then give this a go!

Before watching this movie, I've watched the anime and read the manga and fell in love with the mature love story that was full of drama, tension and character development. But I was a bit disappointed because the movie didn't portray a lot of it...
I guess it's because you can't have the whole story and every scene be jumbled into a 2 hour movie. But the overall love story was great, the characters had that nice vibe. Perfect recommendation for those who just want a romantic movie marathon late at night!

Picked up this drama as the plot line seemed quite engaging. Although I have never the highly rated and nostalgic original, I knew that this would be a great watch. The story is pretty self-explanatory and throughout the series we are introduced to both some very unlikeable and likeable characters, various issues surrounding family, health, social status, pride etc. Seems like a typical good ol' Korean drama. I really loved the cast at the beginning as well, but towards episode 8-9 I really dropped the engagement and wasn't looking forward to Wednesdays as much as I used to at the beginning when this first aired. Both couples just did not have any chemistry at all, so it was slightly hard of a watch. Safe to say it has been done and dusted, after this maybe it is actually worth watching the original and comparing the two, although I would assume my opinion would remain the same as most fans of this drama.

This drama has once again proved that 2016 & 2017 were really the golden years for the best Korean dramas. This was no exception and I'm a bit puzzled why I don't see more people giving this drama the praise that it deserves. First the plot - yes while the writers decided to dump a bunch of cliches and over-the-top drama plot lines, this seemed to have worked wonders in a way where the cliches HAD to be there to make the drama well-written. All characters were absolutely crazy - also a common theme I've been seeing on other user reviews. I've always been a big fan of Seo Hyun Jin and always amazed to see her play a plethora of different characters and how well they can suit her. Chemistry between the FL and ML shouldn't have made sense but oh boy it really did - their kiss scenes were some of the best in Kdrama world. Was a really refreshing watch for after work and I'll definitely miss this, maybe even rewatch in a couple of years.

Super duper hyped drama on social media and my friend has hyped this too, so I had to give it a go. Quite a refreshing watch, only 12 episodes long and jam packed with fun typical Korean cliches like a reminder why we love corny Kdramas so so much. Quite a star-studded cast, they delivered great performance that was both hilarious and swoon-worthy at times. Like the vast majority here, I actually preferred the second couple storyline a lot more: they had out-of-this-world chemistry and I'd love to see them coming back on the screens soon. The lead couple, on the contrary, I thought only had pockets of moments where sparks really flew. Being such a light-hearted watch, I'd rewatch this in a couple of years with some girlfriends to have a good laugh once again. Netflix - bring some more of these type of dramas soon please!!
