Title Love O2O
this drama is not a drama at all. it has no drama. which is such a nice change. the couple, once together, is such a power couple, always trusting, always supporting, and i love that so much. it's a light series with a strong female lead. and even though the kissing scenes seem a bit awkward, that really doesn't take away from the main couple's chemistry otherwise. the online/offline bits are nicely interwoven, the friendships are beautiful, the side love story is cliche, but nice on a first watch-through. i really recommend this one :)
On Beautiful Secret May 20, 2017
i liked the music.... the rest not so much xD honestly, this couldn't have gotten much more repetitive and that beautiful secret got less beautiful by the episode and through every other lie piled on top of the first one. seriously, if you ever want to teach someone how important honest communication is, let them watch this drama. but only if there's no other way, cause this was totrure, even on ff.
i tried getting into it again, but it starts even worse than season 1 ended and i already hated the last ten episodes there because of jingyao. so yeah, i'm gonna leave this story right here and pretend it'll all be solved nicely and without much drama and/or death.
On Irresistible Love 2 May 18, 2017
after watching this, i read the novel, but even though the thought processes of the main characters are a lot clearer to me now, i wouldn't recommend the novel. the drama actually managed to take most of the problematic stuff out and leave the good stuff in (at least in the uncut version). i'm just... there are a lot of issues with the novel and it was really tough finishing it. (if anyone wants details, you can dm me, i guess. it's not gen, so be warned.)

this is a really cute drama and love story! i watched it with a lot of ff though xD the main couple's scenes are really cute and good, but a lot of the other storylines just weren't that interesting for me

the rebirth wasa nice trope and was, i think, executed pretty well. jinteng was kind of overbearing at times, but he was so in love and cute and at least stopped before any non-con happened.
this made me cry so much! which was surprising, cause my hero was a nice story, but not very emotional. but the scenes between the main leads, especially the sad scenes of the first life, are just so well acted and gut-wrenchingly beautiful. i totally bought that they were both utterly in love with each other, so yeah, watch this one, it's really really good.

Title HIStory: My Hero Spoiler
i was really puzzled with their choice of character names? until i realised that yingxiong is a hero, cause he brings a dead man (siren) back to life. yay. (yingxiong means hero in chinese and while siren doesn't have the right characters, it sounds pretty much the same as "dead person")
On Les Interprètes Jan 7, 2017
So they're not in Paris but in Zürich in which the locals speak German and not French (and classes are taught in German as well)... This would not have been a dealbreaker (although it's kinda absurd, you could have at least picked a university that's actually in the French speaking part of Switzerland, I mean, just do your research? it takes maybe ten minutes?), but then all the comments say how bad this drama develops after a while and now I'm just not interested anymore.

I had kind of given up on Taiwanese dramas, they all seemed to follow the same lines: nice premise, nice beginning, in the middle it gets really crazy and annoying. But I heard a lot of good things about this one, so I tried it. And I loved it! It's not a new story line, but once the leads begin to fall for each other, they always have the other's back (even if they don't openly show it). I was never annoyed with the two leads and I loved them the whole way through. So I'd recommend this really cute drama :)

I just now realized that the brothers are named Da Chuan ("Big" Chuan) and Xiao Chuan ("Little" Chuan). Those parents really were not very creative with their names.^^

Title Refresh Man
Watching Refresh Man (Ep 12) and went Ballistic!!! I loved this drama and just getting into watching Taiwanese…
I agree with you that it's unforgivable what they did, but I want to correct you on the censorship part. Since this is a Taiwanese drama and not Chinese (like Empress of China), there is no censorship from the government. (There are some pretty explicit scenes in other Taiwanese dramas, for example, like you could find in Hollywood movies.) Still, it had to go through the usual stages, director, producer, tv station. Too many people who accepted this joke. I just think it's important to know that it's not as high-up as you thought it was.

I have to say, I only watched 3 episodes and already got bored with it. I watched another drama in the meantime,…
Okay! I'll come back to it and give it another try. Thank you! :)

tbh, this was perfect and I finished watching it in 4 days (like, 10 hours per day?). It's breathtaking and heartbreaking and beautiful and I recommend it to everyone.
You should watch the cut scenes during episodes 49 & 50 (last "episode" of the drama on viki is a compilation of all of them and they're subbed), as important parts were cut out of the official release. With those scenes it makes a lot more sense. (Plus, it's eye-candy.)

Title The Journey of Flower Spoiler
Looking back on this series, I think people just mistook love for calamity. An orange-shining stone just means you found the person you will love. Or are you telling me that Zihua is also Xiao Gu's "fated calamity"? Her test of life stone is also orange. (And tbh, this way would make more sense, what she endures for him is just so much worse than what he has to endure because of her.)
If Zihua hadn't been so keen on persisting on his principles, if all those people hadn't been so hateful, none of this would've happened. Qian Gu isn't a fated calamity. In the end, she brought peace to the world, everyone became good, and she made Zihua a better person. She had all the power in the world but still never harmed anyone, even learned to control it to prove to everyone that this power isn't evil. That nothing is inherently evil. So, no, I don't think there's such a thing as a fated calamity. Somehow, they just didn't understand. It's just love and fate doesn't decide the outcome. Your own choices decide it. (Just like Qian Gu says in the last episode.)

Title The Journey of Flower Spoiler
Started 5 days ago, completed today and despite all the spoilers I'd heard, somehow I still didn't expect that…
yeah, I'm the same, I accidentally read a few spoilers, but the ending was still unexpected. Somehow, nobody wrote down the most important things (without adding a spoiler alert at least^^) and I'm so glad.

Title Perfect Couple Spoiler
The ending was quite weird, with her suddenly leaving for six months? And then they meet again and she's in men's clothes/"make-up" again?
But hey, I promised the show(^^) that I wouldn't mind whatever, as long as Qiling would wake up again. I mean, I had heard that they'd have a happy ending, but her death was too convincing and I was pretty distraught.
So, I'll just pretend as if that "she runs away for half a year" never happened.
God, this show was really great. In between I really didn't like Yuanbao anymore nor the plot ... the "perfect couple" should face hardships together! not be against each other. I hated the way he suddenly decided to only side with his Mom but after that I loved the part where Wenzhao kept them both, her as his "wife" and him as a servant, I loved it, because they only had each other in their minds and tried everything to help the other and they knew the feelings of the other. Yes, it was hard for them and I cried quite a bit during that time, but it was something, that brought them closer together, that made my heart ache for them more and I liked that, I liked that they faced it together as much as they could.
So all in all, I give this a 9.5 and I'll forget the last five to ten minutes of the show. I can't really let go of these two tho...even started watching Chinese Paladin 3 so that I can have more of them, though I know that their story there will probably entangle me just more instead of being able to let go. But hey, who said I wanted to let them go?^^

Oh hey, and what happened to her wanting to be a dectective? I hope in the future she can help Yuanbao even more with his cases :)
