I rewatched the last scenes between Whanzi and Ye. I cried so much. She died protecting Ye's family. The actress was so good!. The way she portrayed the fight scenes and her expressions in those scenes. As she fought on you can see the desperation in her face and when she was given her final blows, she stood there watching with regret as she saw the soldiers barged in the hall to kill the family and when she hears their screams, in her face til the end she was regretful that she couldnt fulfill her promise to her beloved Ye.
And as she waits for her death, her memories are of Ye promising that she will wait for him, but she couldnt also fulfill that promise.
Im crying so hard!!!
And Ye after how many years, he doesnt forget her. His eyes are forever so empty as he reminisce his last moments with her.
Qin was a badass soldier but wanted to be Ye's wife because she loves him so much.
These two people who were shy around each other. Their love was the quiet type but each exchange of words and gazes are full of longing and restraint.

Qin deserves her post humous title as a crown princess, even an empress. I'm sure Ye will also do that once he ascended the throne.

It's such a tragic ending, also Ye not ever marrying is befitting as there will never be a woman who can compare to Whanzi.
