i just stopped watching and cant seem to pick it up, :( ive watched other historicals i really liked it but I think I got impatient with the storyline after they became human
yangyang changed a lot, the mum is so awesome best family in historical drama...oh wait, the BAN's in a girl like me is also the great, theyre tied haha
I get that people is annoyed with Orchid, that is her character, and I believe it is not the actress acting cutesy because when they body swap she can pull off being supreme moon leader and Dylan Wang literally acts like Orchid even the pout.
Someone mentioned that im a way she is like a toddler which is kinda true as is is only 1500 years old kinda baby compared to 30000 years old plus DFQC (he was in jail for 3000 years so meaning he is older than that)
Orchid was also watered by her Master with alcohol or wine everytime she was drunk when she was still a plant, that is why she is very week because her root wasnt cultivated, that is why she was earning to buy the elixir for her root in episode 2. In a way she is like a baby born to an alcoholic mother.
She was also isolated in the arbiter hall with just the plants and flowers as her playmates.
So yes its irritating sometimes for her bad decisions, lack of social awareness or sense of danger but like a toddler, she has a pure heart and acts on it without thinking otherwise

what eww factor you referring to? he was treating them equally thus one child for both consorts. the fluke was the one prince from a maidservant and he didnt allow it to happen again. He is the bloody emperor and those times heir is important, especially male heirs, If he favors one from the other that would be his downfall, as you can see from other dramas esp korean, ruyi in the palace the king has so many concubines and didnt treat them well hence most of his heirs died.
If he has only children with the one he loves? then the empress family would not be satisfied or would be seen as insult. Its good that in this drama both consorts respect each other and doesnt let their childrens actions be in between them
