well it is hard to take He is a player character. You cant expect him to be 160 degrees turn and be in love once he is married especially that the couple are aware they dont like to get married to each other but have their reasons to be married. Im not defending him im just explaining. He didnt lile Fah after meeting her and didnt care about anything but saving their business so he married and as he was teasing the mum even before marriage to see if she will give in. Since he is a player he did what he does. He didnt care of Fah wants to marry him or not but got curious for her reason after she refused to choose her brother in front of him. So after the marriage hebreally wants to find out Fahs reason.Upfront Fah despises and ignores him, strong willed but obedient and still dutiful wife and politely refuses his advances not slap kiss. But then despite all that Fah has nightmares about the abuse and he witnesess that.

i guess its not pity but rather curious or intrigued even if he is a player he is not that one dimensional evil player as he becomes caring for her. (i might change the summary basenon the events)
