His last comment in ep 8 " Choose yourself and the world" "It's okay to like me".. Got me really confused. It felt like this is a way for her to live .. It doesn't make sense in the context of her dying regardless (even though by liking him she protects the people she loves)

If she does not wish for doom to befall the world, and the person (MM) dies, she lives? So is that how he plans to save her. By having her love him, he dies, and she ends up living?

What was the original contract between them?
