I could not agree more, The way he is looked down upon as unclean and dirty by the other characters, the way he…
Tbh, I don’t understand half of the things u say due to ur incredibly well vocabulary but keep on going! Tbh, I don’t like this drama but I like how ur stating and writing stuff from ur perspective. It’s always great to hear or be educated from someone’s else’s claim. I personally like when people stare their different opinions/points :)
This show is so far getting great reviews but i want to talk about some of the criticism from MY perspective and claims that I have read and agreed on. “Her sexually harassing him” “Their relationship is toxic”
Why do you think it’s called “it’s okay to not be okay”?
1. This show is NOT telling us that stuff like this okay. This show is giving us insight on stuff like this that happen too frequently among people whom have gone through something similar. It is clear that these two are not okay. They are TRAUMATISED and SCARRED which left dirt inside them. So OF COURSE it’s going to be toxic as they only met and are getting to know and study each other. It would’ve been WAYYYY too unrealistic if they were not having issues. 2. Of course sexual harassment is not okay and I get that having a disorder doesn’t excuse them but but ya’ll need to understand that this show is clearly showing us that this woman needs help. She KILLS BUTTERFLIES. She LOVES knifes. She loves seeing horrific stuff. She has little empathy. What do you think? Her touching his abs is nothing shocking.
I believe slowly they will improve as people and will be able to share, reflect, and heal from their dark pasts. It would’ve been too unrealistic if toxicity did not exist.
Also the one who plays the male leads brother. Ugh i loved watching their moments. I always would smile when their scenes would come up because it’s so wholesome. I also loved how they gave them their own scenes to show the world from their perspective.
I AM THINKING OF NOT WATCHING IT UNTIL A GOOD AMOUNT OF EPISODES COME IN AND BINGE THAN REPEAT CAUSE I JUST CAN’T STAY PATIENT EVERY WEEK FOR ONLY 2 EPISODES SHSHDHDHHDJDJD
Dramas have a tradition of always starting out so good than after like half, it slowly gets problematic, rushed, or totally out of topic so I hope that doesn’t happen to this very unique story. Also, I can see why ratings are important. We don’t have part in it but in Korea, oh hell yeah. But in the end of the day, ratings don’t matter to me because they don’t determine whether u will like it or not. I have watched many underrated dramas and many popular ones that to me, was overrated.
People in this comment section are getting annoyed because of others opinions. It’s a Drama and this is the damn comment section. Someone has the RIGHT to write a paragraph about how they don’t like this or that just like you have the RIGHT to disagree. If you can’t handle that, than just don’t deal with it.
I’m probably gonna get hate for this but “backstreet rookie” cannot compare to this masterpiece. I have been watching dramas for a while and i am in awe on how beautifully this drama is written, produced, and told. I am happy i found this cause i was about to give up on watchung kdramas for a bit.
Okay here is my honest opinion. It's my opinion so feel free to disagree but if you're gonna start being immature than just hush.
- This drama is not for kids. It is for a mature audience so if you can't handle that then don't watch it. - The racist remarks are definitely something I can understand to be offensive. Tbh Kdrama and Kpop have been blatantly ignorant a lot of times so it's nothing new to me ( i don't mean it is okay but this is nothing new) - The Female lead is cool. I like her confidence but some of her actions are questionable. Like when she hit Dae Hyun harshly just because he has a GF. If a guy did that, it would have been considered an assault. Also, it seems like she's so strangely obsessed with him that it gives me a weird vibe like cmon, u suddenly get head over heels when u only saw him ONCE. But hey, what's a kdrama without a little cliche? - I like Dae Hyun's friend (the one who writes comics)) his character fascinates me. - Ngl, the FL's two friends give me a headache.
Okay so basically I find nothing humorous about this drama but the plot and controversial subjects fascinate me which is why I like it. It's not the best but definitely not the worst.
