You said it perfectly! We were blindsided by MODC. I have never cried so much over a tv show in my life. I was miserable for days afterward. Eternal Yesterday was heart breaking as well. and for the same reason as MODC. Both male leads never got over the deaths of their boyfriends. That's why I was so happy when I heard there was going to be a sequel to MODC. I was hoping that Yu Xi Gu would turn up alive in the sequel (seeing as no one actually went to his funeral). But I am not sure if the sequel is still going ahead.
