I'd disagree with your point about her determination to keep him alive as a selfish act, if that was true, she would have killed him as soon as she could so she could always be with... She showcased true honesty, loyalty, and love towards the man by wanting him to stay alive. But I do not disagree with the fact she kept on wanting him to remember her, she was being greedy/selfish there, which is completely fine in my view... My heart goes out to Ji Yeong and to the girl who broke the bulb. Both represent acts of selflessness and hope toward an unhopeful world as one was mute and others were homosexual-so society did not accept them completely. The message of the series is beautiful, In a line we can summarize the core concept of this show as "Earth is a place where everybody can eventually move on."
