Just finished the first 2 episodes and my heart is here for the romance but breaking because of the tragedy. I read up on the wiki/etc beforehand though to prepare myself but it doesn't help, it's still breaking.
It also doesn't help that two of my faves are the leads. They are doing such a phenomenal job in the first two episodes.
It won't fill the void that The Guest left (as I had originally hoped it would) but it seems interesting after the first episode. I wouldn't recommend going into the first episode comparing the two.
I literally sobbed. PAINFULLY SOBBED. I'm not talking "oh my god so heartbreaking, grab the tissues" I'm talking ugly crying, hand to chest, hard to breathe SOBBING
I have a question for the people who finished this and watched the Japanese version also. Did they have the balls…
Nope! They made it 'seem' like it was 'possible' for a little but then it was revealed they weren't related. I thought they were headed in that direction for a few episodes with the hints they were dropping but it was a setup for something different.
"the same way I feel when I've had a chance to spend time with a friend I really, really love, someone who I know I can trust to understand me and comfort me just as I would them. It's this sensation of shared nostalgia... or some unwavering, mutual affection." I have never read anything more true in my entire life. You literally described this drama how I needed it to be described but could never think of a way to do so.
Also; the audience really never did stand a chance, you are absolutely right. Falling in love with them is something that is a given with this one.
I have issues with dark material and some tend to give me light to mild panic attacks but it's worth it with this one. Really creative and interesting. Great acting and not to mention just really well done over all.
The Guest is truly amazing (and this is after seeing just one episode)!
Also, if you don't want to scare yourself (especially if your house is haunted) -- keep the lights on while watching this one.
This drama will always hold a special place in my heart. It is the first drama that I completed and very quickly too. I had only been watching a couple of episodes from Evergreen (began getting into dramas earlier this year and Evergreen had been the first one I ever tried but since it was airing around that time, I hadn't seen many episodes of it and wanting to watch something else while I waited for the new episodes to be released) when I stumbled upon this one and binged it in a few days.
I've been re-watching this lately before going to sleep to de-stress and stay calm before sleeping (also this is a really good one to re-watch when sad or sick, I've done that too!) and there's really nothing like this drama. Not only are the characters cute, adorable and well portrayed but the drama itself is light and interesting and it makes re-watching fun and enjoyable like the first time watching it.
I've wanted to write a review for it for a while but I can never come up with the words as I fangirl a little too much every time I sit down to ready myself for writing and think that nothing I come up with will be able to express how much I truly do enjoy it. So I finally settled on just a lengthy comment instead.
Okay, enough of this fangirl rant. I just wanted to express my thoughts on it.
The first episode has me hooked! The acting is on point, the slight hint of comedy is nice and I also really enjoy the little twist. So excited about this!
For official sources, I believe Netflix will have it sometime in December.

Great drama! One that really leaves a lasting mark.
But I'll just say Kim Jae Wook is phenomenal.
There are aspects I would have preferred had gone differently in the story; BUT this drama goes in my top faves.
The first 3 episodes are free and you'll need to sign up for Youtube Premium (or try it free) to see the rest.
Also; the audience really never did stand a chance, you are absolutely right. Falling in love with them is something that is a given with this one.
Loved this review!
