I feel sorry that today's reference for adaptation is Attack on Titans when there are loads of others mangas/animes movies adaptations out there. I do not particularly say it about here, but each time I see a news about a movie adaptation (which happen frequently, recently), LOADS of comments are about the fact that this will surely fail because Attack on Titans did.
I only know the Attack on Titans license by name, so I possibly won't be able to judge anything regarding this, but it's not because one (or well, make it two thanks to nowadays splitting mode...) ,movie(s) was bad that everything from now on will.
That meaning : Let's believe in what they'll do their best to bring to us :D If it's a fail, we'll have all the time to complain after watching it ;)
I guess it was an interesting movie. Yet something was missing. I don't know if it's the time that changed me or if it was the movie lacking, but I didn't find the coolness, the student-teacher relationship and everything that I liked in the original drama.
It seems rushed, without much meaning, our Kamen Teacher was WEAK (I didn't want to watch this movie to see such a weak guy)... I do understand that being "over-strong" is not a good thing, but it's always nice when they're REALLY cool at one time or two in the movie :3 I think it would be a lie if someone tell me they're not watching the movie for some "good-looking guy fighting cooly".
The student council was just o.o Horribly stupid and badly done. I know they must have acted as written in the script, but really? They were a mess, and finally almost useless. They didn't even get their "own end"...
To make it simple : I liked this movie as an enjoyable evening. However it is not the best story from the Kamen Teacher License. It would have been able to be, but lot of miss from the synopsis and speed broke the movie.
Down side: each episode is only 20 minutes long :(
Wahoo that's a surprise ! I just started the episode one and I was O_o 24 minutes ? This season really got me xD Dramas I thought would be 20 are full-length and now the contrary.
Wahoo ! So much informations :D When I started to read it I was asking myself who it was.. And then "Otona Joshi" and I was "OMG IT'S HIM ?!" :3 I loved him in Otona Joshi.
From this list, I also saw Brain Man, but I must say that my memory only have Ikuta Toma because his performance impressed me so much :'(
I was planning to watch Dinner :) I might check your recommendations too ♥ Thanks for this awesome stalker's guide :)
Really nice article :D Thanks for bringing up Japaneses Dramas :) I think that MDL articles are 95% about Korean :/
I would add some of my favorites :
Switch Girl!! : Cute, Lovely, Awesome, Funny love story
Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de : Funny detective-like drama.
Ouroboros : Breathtaking drama
The Quiz Show 2 : Breathtaking drama as well
The Memorandum of Kyoko Okitegami : Funny, cute romantic and detective drama
I love more and more dramas, but these are the one I would highly recommend :)
After watching the 2 firsts episodes, I'm still thinking "what the heck was that ?". I don't know yet if I'll continue watching it or not. Maybe give it a little more chance because the camera filming is really well done...
This drama seems really interesting! I wish someone will sub it :D I don't know why, but I get a small "Guest of Room 0" feeling from the pics and synopsis.
This Special was clearly not what I was expecting ! When I read the themes (crime, mysterious, their secret and such), I imagined some captivating, fast-paced and mysterious show. Yet, these subject aren't really that much of a part of the special and it's more a "talk-paced" than a "mystery-like" or "action-like" movie. There where no real crime solving (yet the result IS fitting and alright). Lot of interesting subjects are brushed against, yet it's kept as raw rock and nothing more is done about them.
It is enjoyable, I won't say the contrary. Just that for me, it's not needed in an already "full" plan to watch list.
I liked how the two last episodes where, even through it just doesn't feel like the end (of the drama, I know about the movie). I clearly don't like their way to "make a movie to conclude the drama". We still have so much to wait before knowing the end and finishing it. At least, please bring the drama to a clear and proper end. Anyway! I liked these two episodes and how they brought "light" to events. I like Kubota Masataka so it might be the reason :3

They all were pretty stupid and useless....
But to me, the worst was that woman...
