as someone who mostly watches kdramas and used to think 16 eps were too much, I promise u its worth it, especially if u love bl. If 50 eps still too much I recommend the special edition version which just focuses on the main leads, its only 20 eps. From then on u might b able to decide if u want more of the story

I personally did not regret watching the drama despite having watched a lot of the anime, there r many things I wish they added, especially regarding tang san and his powers, But the character development was nice, quite steady, and the final battle scene left me speechless. It might not b as good as the original I can tell u that, but better to just think of it as its own story/drama. As its own I didn't think it was bad tbh, especially considering how hard it must b to recreate this specific adaptation.

some may say its bromance, but its very obvi its not, u can tell from the way the characters act and look at each other that they're in love. I'd consider it more of a pure bl love story. They didn't rlly have to announce their relationship cuz it was just so obvi.If u listen to the main leads ost, especially one character in particular (lan zhan) look at the lyrics, ost was dedicated to the man he loved. The character's ost's had no censorship lol.

It has censorship. However, the feelings of the main characters for eachother shows. They didn't even have to b entirely intimate with each other to showcase love. Highly recommend. U can tell the characters r in love from the way they look at each other and act, they did not need to announce it was obvious lol. Its based on a bl novel btw called Mo Dao Zu Shi, has an anime too

they have confirmed for a season 2, however nothing on the cast yet. Considering the show just finished airing, might take a while before any further details is released about season 2

I hope when they do make a season 2, which hoping there will b, they make tang san more powerful. I have watched a lot of the anime, and he's quite strong from the beginning compared to others, but at the same time has sm power to build. however, they made him kinda weak/equivalent to the others in this series. That's the only thing I hope they do differently the second time around. I rlly wanna see him use more of his hidden abilities, and maybe more of the use of his hammer. Hope they officialize the cast for s2 soon, I rlly can't wait, got high expectations!

Yea it was pretty obvious they were always more than friends, they just didn't acknowledge it, its not puzzling just random at that moment, cuz tang san never wanted to refer to xiao wu as anything more than a "sister" but then all of a sudden he declares her as his lover lol, it was def out of place cuz I thought he still didn't realize his feelings yet. I too was genuinely hoping for tang san to showcase his power more, i feel like he was so underdeveloped, but thats why there must b a S2! I have high expectations for it

yea I agree, especially tang san, he was so underdeveloped. I was expecting more power from him, cuz Ik his character is very powerful. If they make a season 2, I do hope they show more of the characters and their ability, especially tang san

If u still haven't finished yet, don't expect too much from the anime, its very different and they took a lot out of it. However, overall I still found it very interesting

I'm just confused why he suddenly called xiao wu his lover, cuz he always referred to her as nothing but a sister before, so I thought he never realized his true feelings, but all of a sudden she's his lover caught me off guard ngl. but I'm also eagerly waiting for S2, cant wait for them to continue their story

HA same, i had exams but I couldn't help but keep up with the drama and watch each episodes every day even tho I had no time lol. I hope tang san and xiao wu's relationship will also progress more in S2 , maybe finally become actual lovers and hope for the entire original cast

The only drama I watched while still airing. If u don't compare it to the original story,/anime, it was actually amazing, especially the CGI, the best in ep 40. The only reason I can't give this drama a full 10 is cuz I felt like the beginning was rlly slow, although I love good, steady character development, it wasn't rlly till closer to ep 20 tang san started building his power and becoming stronger. He was very underdeveloped. I was also little disappoint that xiao wu and tang san's relationship didn't progress at all, But then ending got me confused cuz he said she's his lover, idk. but we NEED a S2!! I loved the final ep, the battle scenes were amazing. I just hope the entire original cast returns, cuz I don't think i can b at peace if I don't see a continuation if this story.

I wouldn't believe those comments, cuz there has been no confirmation of the original cast returning for Season 2 or wut S2 will even b bout. Xiao zhan also isn't the type to reject roles especially an important main lead. He's said before that he wouldn't even reject supporting roles unless ofc cuz of his schedule now. So if they did want him back, he'd likely b willing im quite sure

LMAO, but I actually find xiao wu cute and innocent. She's just a little dumb, and at first I did find the rlly high pitch voice annoying, but grew to like her, but that could just b me

although in the drama for the time being they have a sibling type of relationship, their relationship will eventually progress to something more aka love. But that might happen in the second season, cuz from wut i've seen in the drama, they didnt realize their true feelings for one another yet

i've seen a bit of some of those dramas, but from any cdrama i've watched, the CGI seems just amazing in my eyes in this drama. It doesn't have to b the best, but it is certainly not bad

yea especially if it doesn't have a satisfactory ending, I do have a feeling ratings would go down, I just think the storyline if finally getting intense and cool

The CGI looks amazing in my opinion, I mean the special effects director apparently also worked on big american movies as well. I personally think the effects is what makes the action scenes look intense. I found the female leads voice annoying at first, but I kinda find her cute
