Still quite new as an asian drama watcher. First time posting comment. I fairly enjoyed the drama, even though…
hmm, i wud say ashes of love is sort-off like this, good first half, not so good second half, it's better than this, probably more chemistry. Since u have seen ten miles and Eternal Love I would recommend trying 'Go Princess Go'. It is soooo funny, it's different, chemistry is good, there's this one scene OMG i swear i repeated it a million times. It's an underrated gem, i believe a lot of people are missing out on.
Good first half, not so good second half, confusing and disappointing ending. Lack of chemistry from the leads, overacting from the male lead particularly on the second half. Dragging story line that was interesting in first half and then became boring in the second. Honestly, this is becoming a pattern with c-drama's, why cant they just make the drama's 30/40 episodes if they can't carry a good story on for 66 episodes. I only finished this for Yang Mi (with the help of skipping), loved her in Ten miles but this, sweetie, surely they were better projects than this.
Would I recommend it? Only if you have absolutely nothing else to watch. I feel robbed.
It has 4.7/10 on Douban, so compared to this 8.8 is extremely high
don't really trust viki ratings, they rate things super high there. I have seen poor drama's get 9.8 on there, 10/10 top reviews. Well, almost all top reviews on viki are 10/10. I guess thats why i come here, people are more honest with their ratings.
I haven't watched the first one. Was it good? As good as ten miles of peach blossoms?
Not as good as ten miles but honestly that’s really hard to beat but I will say it was really funny, the leads chemistry was amazing. I would say deffo watch it. It’s a good c-drama. Easy to watch, you will surprise yourself how much you enjoy it.
I am still waiting for a time that a new drama will beat this in my heart. I miss the feelings i had while i watched…
Co-sign, I have just finished AoL and it had potential beat this but it just cudnt. There were things similar but it just didn’t give me the same feels. I think Ten miles was just too good. The actors, the storyline. Everything was just perfect. I am still waiting for a c-drama to be as good as this. I feel like watching it again now. It was that good.
lool at ' JM blissfully bobbing through was a major distraction. ' but I definitely agree, the last 10 episodes or so, there really wasn't much story left, they shud have ended it sooner.
Erm, yeah, i cudnt forgive Jin mi for literally stabbing him in the back, to me every time she condemned or cried about su hui i rolled my eyes cos she was a murderer herself, no matter how the writer's tried to spin it with the pettel or the nighty and his tricks no one forced her to kill him, not having love doesn't make you a murderer. Even her foolishly not being able to see color, like seriously wat was the point in that, he was going to give her the light thing anyways, he died two seconds later, like it was so annoying how the writers tried so hard to make me feel sorry for a murderer called Jin mi.
When she finally sacrificed herself, basically committing suicide cos she ran into their attack like running in front of a moving train. I felt yes, that was the right thing to do.
I was hoping that the phoenix wud be reborn as someone's child then grow up and become the demon king, the storyline we got was rather underwhelming, he still got everything handed to him. Honestly, he shud have moved on, maybe not with su hui but anyone else. To me that wud have been more interesting. It's crazy how I felt more emotionally connected with the demon princess and her love story than the main's. Like the beginning with the main couple was cute, I liked them then, i liked the mortal world and even when they went back. But after everyone died and after Jin mi killed him, it was just game over.
Who could forgive someone who literally stabbed them in the back, not me, no matter what spell or anything if your resort is to kill someone then you are a murderer.
I really hope the guy who played Run yu gets a lead role he was amazing, really captivating to watch, love or hate him you have to admit that, i really loved the part where he was the snake and they were with the guards running away from her wedding day. That was funny. But also, can we have a drama were someone actually move's on, like jeez, you have a crush, one sided love, the person rejects you and you move on like a normal sane person.
Just finished this, i wud rate it an 8/10. I thought it was an interesting story, some episodes were boring but then it wud pick up again. I did enjoy it alot until the last 15 episodes. It just seemed messy after that and I really started to hate the female lead, im sorry i cudn't forgive someone if they did that to me. Storyline was interesting though, this could have been better than ten miles but in the end it wasn't. A good start mediocre finish. Run Yu was amazing, even tho the character was evil and i hated him at the middle, i do have to say the actor was brilliant, another thing the main male lead, yes very handsome and could act but I felt like he lacked something, that extra thing that separates good actors from brilliant actors.
Is the PLOT better than TMOPB`s????????????????????I hate jealous women scheming!
their storyline's are quite different, except for a few things that are the same, personally, i think this storyline is probably really interesting until the last 15 episodes or so were it just gets messy. But if you like tmopb deffo try this.
Oh wow, I got so happy wen I saw this. I really loved the first one, the main leads chemistry was amazing. But the new guy looks cute, gosh I can already feel second lead syndrome coming. But from the end of s1, how are they back to the past?
I thought they already did bec of when he said he is first time for "that" as well. What are they are pertaining…
ah, in the novel, now it makes sense lol cos in the show it doesn't seem like they have gone that far. Oh, i can't wait until the english version of the book comes out now.
I thought they already did bec of when he said he is first time for "that" as well. What are they are pertaining…
i'm so confused, i just watched the locker scene again where ae turned pete and his hands where on his arms and kissing his neck before they cut the scene (end of part 2 epi 7 right?) Then he asked him out on the next part. (so did Ae give Pete a handjob before asking him out???Also, when did Ae put his finger in Pete's mouth? Is there another version i missed, lol.
I think I know know why I love this show so much. It's because they tackle most BL clichés and tropes, but turn…
This this thisss, there's no dragged out boring girlfriend storyline, they like each other and that's it. I also agree with @RaltzWaltz it deffo reminds me of Addicted. What I liked so much about Addicted was that the show was about them, from the beginning when they were playing tricks with each other, going to school on the bicycle together (ohh, snap I just realised now that they both have that same bike scene, where they go to school/college together in the mornings) I have watched addicted 3 times already and currently it's my fave bl drama but this is coming in close. Which has never happened before.

Tin’s mind, what did you say, I will show you by kissing you.
After the kiss.
Hm, kissing a guy isn’t so bad.
Lol, oh, I luv bl drama’s. The logic of it all.
